Remarks

Our college is the best(just like any other person's opinion). If the infrastructure was a bit better, our college will grow bigger w.r.t name and position. Other wise our college is a self made college. We dont expect anything from our college. We make things and we use it.

Entrance Preview

Entrance exam : CET(common entrance test) Score : 3468 My brother had studied in this college and i grew a good opinion on this institution. Because i could witness the way my brother gained knowledge over things. Not just academics, everything.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course structure is similar to VTU. We used to buy recommended books or take a xerox of it. The courses where well planned. Subjects were planned properly considering that some of the subjects were linked. Since the teachers were open to help and also free access to internet. Understanding the subjects were not so difficult. It was as fun as it is supposed to be.

Internships Opportunities

College does provide internship offers. At my time, companies like Libre Wireless, Cisco, Dell etc came for internship offers who eventually absorbed us to full time jobs. You can also work as intern for other companies out of college too.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements are Very good. with almost 90% offers. The placement co-ordinators were the students who managed everything form calling companies to serving snacks. So our college placement cell is always updated and is active. Job opportunities are very good considering the fact that this is a govt college. And facilities are not as good as other pvt colleges

College Events

5

Every year we conduct 2 fests. FIESTA and MILAGRO. Everything is taken care by student co-ordinators who are elected(1 boy 1 girl) For fiesta, co-ordinators are 3rd year students. For milagro, co-ordinators are 4th year students. From arranging stages to seeking sponsorship, everything is done by the co-ordinators

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is the cheapest as of my knowledge. Since we are from a lower middle class, my income was less and hence i had to pay 4000INR as fees. Exam fees would be around 600INR For people with income above poverty line, fees was around 16000INR which is less compared to other engineering colleges. So, if i calculate my over all expense, it will end up around 50k. Since, i got scholarship every year from a private organization, my education was not a burden.

Fees and Financial Aid

College offers scholarships to individuals every year. Students are shortlisted after a small interview about their background, Quick fact : if any of your family member is earning above 3lpa, you will not get this.

Campus Life

3

Life in the college is not about marks at all. Even attendance is not considered. Our college has a football team, cricket team and sport activities are conducted frequently. As, i am not a sport enthusiast, i was not there in any of these activities

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel is not good. Rooms are not clean. Since Govt doesn't care. All they want is our taxes after we get a job!! Food was very unhealthy. But later on hostel students protested and made a scene. Now the food is good. But still, i would not recommend college hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni is very active. They visit our alumni building every year to reach out to new students and to guide them. Some of them even sponsor for education to deserving candidates.

Exam Structure

The exams structure was not at all hectic. We had 3 internals/semester and a final exam. And also 1 lab internal and 1 lab external. We never felt exams as a burden since no one sat on our heads to score high marks. All they expected form us was better understanding. God.. i miss my college!!

Admission

Admission is through CET councelling. I had to pay the CET cell fees(everyone have to) and i carried the receipt to my college. Then take a DD(Demand draft) worth college fees in the name of college chancellor and submit it in the office. Also a colored file color differs for each branch) in the college's stationary shop. They entered my details and put my documents in a colored file. Got my sign. Gave my ID card and instructed to join on 8th of sept 2011. Docs to carry : CET receipt, original marks card,DD, file and income certificate if not GM category. Also, photocopy of all these

Faculty

3.5

Most of our faculty members were PhD graduates. with deep understanding towards their subjects. The faculty members were open to any kind of doubts. Their places were known to us and also their contact details. With the mentioned details the faculty were accessable to us even after college timings.

lacements at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology Placements at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology are decent overall, with stronger outcomes for CS-related branches and moderate but reliable opportunities for core branches like Chemical Engineering. ???? Placement Eligibility Students generally become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester (final year). Some companies also allow pre-placement offers (PPOs) through internships after the 6th semester. ???? Companies Visiting the Campus ???? Common Recruiters (Across Branches) TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini IBM L&T Deloitte (limited roles) ???? Core / Chemical-Related Opportunities L&T Reliance (limited roles) Schneider Electric Saint-Gobain Some manufacturing, quality, and operations-based companies Core chemical companies visit in limited numbers, so many Chemical Engineering students also sit for IT, analytics, and operations roles. ???? Packages Offered (Approximate) ???? Salary Range Highest Package (overall): ~?40–50 LPA (off-campus / international offer, mostly CS) Highest for Core / Chemical roles: ~?8–10 LPA Average Package (overall): ?7–8 LPA Average for Chemical Engineering: ?4–6 LPA ???? Job Profiles Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) Process / Quality Engineer Analyst / Consultant Software Engineer (for interested students) ???? Placement Percentage Overall placement rate: ~90–95% Chemical Engineering: ~60–70% Students with good CGPA, internships, and skills tend to get placed earlier and in better roles. ???? Employability & Skill Development The college provides: Placement training sessions Aptitude and soft-skill workshops Coding and interview preparation support However, students are expected to upskill on their own, especially for core industry roles or higher-paying profiles. ???? My Plans After Completing the Degree After completing my B.E. in Chemical Engineering, I plan to: Gain industry experience through campus placement or off-campus opportunities
