Know about JSS Science and Technology University closely from a JSSTUian

The structure of the course is very logical. This course introduces DSA in the 2nd sem only. The subject of Business Communication helps alot in confidence building as we need to do alot of presentation and other activities. The faculties are average as like other colleges. At the end of the day students need to do on thier own. 2 Internals and one event is conducted in one sme and 1 semester end examination is conducted (60% weightage).

In the end of second year few companies like Visa, Fidelity and Western Digital offer summer internship with a average stipened of around 20000. in the end of the 3rd year those who get internship are mostly offered full time offer . According to our seniors Basic knowledge of DSA is required to clear Online Assesment. Projects on your resume adds more positive impression to the interviewer.

Students are offered Summer Internship by the companies like Visa, Fidelity, Cisco and Western Digital This year AMD Ryzen visited to the campus and offered 54LPA CTC but it went without any recruitment as no one was able to clear the test. This year highest package is 25LPA and average package is around 10LPA for tech branches and 6-7 LPA for non tech branches. Overall around 75-80% of the students are placed till now. Last year placements were much better. My plan is to get a job.

Through comed-k we need to pay around 242000 per year. We can avail Government scholarships according to our category . College provides Scholarship to very few students. Many of my seniors have recieved on campus stipened of above 30000

JAYCIAN is the annual cultural fest of this college. It is of the biggest cultural fest of Mysuru after Dussera. Library is quite good. we get almost all the books and resources required. Classrooms of Golden Jublie Bhawan are well furnished. The sports activities are not that much active here. Cultural cubs like NADA (music) , Gravity & Velocity(Dance) , Pehchan (fashion) & Balaga (Acting) are quite active. Technical clubs- GDSC, IEEE, CSI, LCC, AeroJC (mechincal) , Tesla(Electrical). other cllubs - IIC & EBSB (govt.funded), Bureau (UPSC).

First year students are provided H-Block where they need to live in 4 sharing. Some of them are also alloted single room if vacant. Meal is average here. Sometimes it's Bad also. North Indians can face more problems here. During admission only you can apply for Hostel. You need to apply as soon as possible as it gets full very quickly.

My course is Computer Science and Business System. It is designed by TCS. You can take entry to the colleges of Karnataka through 3 streams:- 1> COMED-K 2. KCET 3. Management I got admitted through COMED-K with a rank of 3127. Cut-off was around 4500.
