Remarks

Overall in short my college experience was amazing, and the management is great, college life is great, and everything about it is.

Entrance Preview

I opted for IITs, just like every other engineering aspiring student, and appeared for AIEEE as well, but hard luck, couldn't get into those, then i also opted for RPET, without knowing that i would land up in the best college of Rajasthan.i got 64 marks in RPET test. Opting for SKIT was the best thing i ever did, and ofcourse the smart choice, as it is ranked as the best college of Rajasthan.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I would say, that the curriculum needs to be updated with the current technologies, instead of teaching the old stuff which is not used anymore. If i talk about my branch, they should add php and java instead of other stuff which they teach there, otherwise the way things are taught at my college is amazing.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, my college provides internship. There are many startups that come to offer internships there, but if i have to name a big company then IBM, provides internships there, but that internship is for free, there is no stipend included, but the training which they give is worth it.

Placement Experience

4.5

According to my personal experience, i would say that the job opportunities that my college provides are the best that any college could. From my branch almost all the students got placed, and loads of companies came for placements. From big MNCs to small startups, everyone wanted students from our college to be a part of it.

College Events

4.5

Our college conducts loads of events, like PRAVAH which is our fest, that is conducted annually, which has all kinds of functions in it, starting with art galleries, to small game events, to dance and singing events, to clash of bands all sorts of entertainment is provided there. Except that, competitions like SUR and dance are also conducted, also there is an annual fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As per being a private college the fee structure is a bit expensive as compared to government colleges, but if you compare it with other private colleges it is feasible. The answer is a bit diplomatic but thats the truth. The fees for 2 semesters, or for one year is around 80k.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am not really sure about the scholarships available at my college, although some of my friends had got some scholarships, but i am not really sure how that works, so can't comment on that.

Campus Life

4.5

We had all sorts of extra activities, infact one complete day is dedicated to extra activities, WEDNESDAY. Where all sorts of debates, robotics clubs, cricket, basketball matches, sports used to happen. And each and everything in its own was amazing.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel facility is not that amazing, but the experience of living there is ! It is like going through a tough time, but remembering it and nurturing those moments through out the life is all that is left. Although there is no washing machine in the hostel nor ACs. About mess food i will say only one thing, it sucks.

Alumni/Alumna

Every ones in a while our college calls our seniors to give us speeches, about how they became successful in life, and what role SKIT played in their life to motivate us to work hard.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is basically for every semester there are university exams, and except that there are 2 mid terms every semester. For every mid term there is one practical and one theory exam, except that, for every university exam there is one theory and one practical.

Admission

Once i scored good marks in RPET, and cleared the cut off, i was asked to select the colleges in order of my choice, and also the streams in the order i wanted. Once i had filled the forms and sent it accross, i got calls from many colleges, and then it was just a smart choice in my hand, to opt for one.

Faculty

4

The faculty at my college is very frank, all are very young, enthusiastic teachers who are very much engrossed in the work that they do, and love to give their students everything that they have knowledge of. They are supportive and try to make all the students the best performer in their field.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum includes lab works, workshops and seminars. Which influence the choice to choose the course. But they are lacking to get hands on experience. Though they are guest lectures and seminar which is highly beneficial. Need to provide report on summer internship, industrial training, which is mandatory according to curriculum. Which helps in gaining hands on real life skills. But students still pass this barrier using fake certification and copied reports. And faculty is not strict about this. I believe the latest technologies which is not integrated in curriculum like AI/ ML ,recent frameworks , even if integrated not taughtd in depth. Like we have subjects AI , ML but no practical learning. Assignment are huge burden with little learning we need assessment that tests understanding rather than memorization. More subjects needed on softs skills especially in last year during placement season. Live project with company as all student are not able to land good internships. Frequency of exams like midterm( 2 in 3-4 months) ,practical( at the end of semester just after 2 nd midterm exam). End semester exams - 10-20 days after practical exams.

Placement Experience:

Campus palcements at GMEC Ajmer are quite good, especially foe CSE and core branches. Students become eligible for placement grom the 7th semester, and many companies visted the campus every year. Some of the prominent recruiters includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys, capgemini, cognizantand tech mahindra among others. Highest package varies every year (in 2025 it goes to 13 lpa) Average package: Ranges between 3.5 to 5 lpa Approxi, ately 80-85 5 of eligible students got placed, especially those from technical backgrounds with good coding and communication skills. Some students also go for off-campus drives or pursue higher studies like M.Tech or MBA. As for my plans, after completing the degree, I aim to either get placed in a reputed IT company or pursue higher studies depending on the opportunities available and personal career goals.
