Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is good and cover all the important subjects with practical labs and projects. I chose this course because it includes useful topics needed in the real world and for higher studies. It preparees us well , but more handss on training , updated electives, and industry exposure would make it better.

Internships Opportunities

5

The college provides good internship opportunities through both industrial support and self driven eforts. Notable internships have been offered by RUIDP (Rajasthan urban infrastructure development project) and celebal technologies among others.

Placement Experience

3

Campus palcements at GMEC Ajmer are quite good, especially foe CSE and core branches. Students become eligible for placement grom the 7th semester, and many companies visted the campus every year. Some of the prominent recruiters includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys, capgemini, cognizantand tech mahindra among others. Highest package varies every year (in 2025 it goes to 13 lpa) Average package: Ranges between 3.5 to 5 lpa Approxi, ately 80-85 5 of eligible students got placed, especially those from technical backgrounds with good coding and communication skills. Some students also go for off-campus drives or pursue higher studies like M.Tech or MBA. As for my plans, after completing the degree, I aim to either get placed in a reputed IT company or pursue higher studies depending on the opportunities available and personal career goals.

Fees and Financial Aid

The detailed fee structure for the B.Tech course at our institute varies by year and category, such as SFS (Self financed Seat) and TFWS( Tution fee waiver Scheme). For SFS category students, the first year fee is approximately 95,000 (55,225 for sem I and 40,725 for sem II) . This includes tution fee, development fee, BTU development fee(one time), examination fee, alumni fee(one time), refundable caution money, and institutional charges. For TFWS category reducing the total to 21,725 in sem I and 7,225 in sem II. In the second year , the total fee for SFS students is around 84,450 while TFWS students pay about 17,450. For third and fouth years, the fee further drops for SFS students to 67,200-68,300 annually and around 18,000 for TFWS students. Fees may slightly inrease year to year based on University regulations and development requirements. There are also several scholarship options available, including Pragati Scholarship , Samaj kalyan yojana and merit - cum- means scholarships.

Campus life at Govt. Mahila Engineering College, Ajmer is lively and balanced with a mix of academics, social activites , and personal growth. The environment is safe and supportive, Especially for girls coming from different parts of country. Epistimico the anual cultural and technical fest. Taksh the college annual sports fest.

Each room typically accommodates 2 to 3 students and comes with basic furnitures. Washrooms are shared and maintained regularly. Hostel registration is doe during the admission process. The mess food is average.

Admission

I chose GMEC Ajmer because it is one of the govt. engg. college exclusively for women in Rajasthan. Compared to other colleges I applied for , GMEC stood out due to its affordable fee structure, goverment statuss, experiencd faculty, and strong focus on core engineering branches. I also applied to private colleges by WBJEE and cuet exam and got selected in bs degrees . but i choose GMEC because i wanted to opt b.tech degree . In some colleges like mnit and mbm jodhpur , I couldn't get admission because my jee rank didn't meet their cutoff. Admission process at GMEC Ajmer Done through REAP( Rajasthan ENgineering Admission Process ), based on jee ranks or class 12th marks.

Faculty

4

The faculty is generally experienced, supportive, and approachable. Some professors go beyond theory to include practical insights. The faculty to student ratio is 1:25 , ensuring good interaction. The course structuree is well balanced with theory, labs, and ptrojects. Each semester has 2 internals, 1 final exam, and practicals. The exams are of moderate difficulty. The marking scheme is 30% internal and 70% external by the university .

Interview Experience

5

you just have to appear for jee mains exam which conducted by the NTA . Fill the form of REAP and add colleges of your choice . and got got admission in this college on the basis of your marks in 12th .

Night Life

3

since GMEC, Ajmer is a women.s college , the environment is more focused on safety , discioline, and academics rather than active nightlife. The library usually closes by 6:00 PM, and classsrooms and labs also wrap up academic activities by 4 pm.

Placements in my collage are not very strong. A few companies visit, but the number is limited and the offer are also not very high . The average package is on the lower side and only a small number of students get placed through the campus. After completing my degree my plans is to continue improving my technical skills and apply for jobs outside the campus where the chances and salary packages are better.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In the year 2014 & 2015, there was a huge scope for people in Computer Science Engineering. There were unlimted number of possibilities for a B.tech graduate at that time. This is why, I chose B.tech Computer Science course. The curriculum will help you to deal with the exams. If you are giving graduate level exams, you will be well guided for it by the faculty. There are no smart classes or good practicals examiner which we call lab technicians which causes everyone a havoc in the labs area. The midterms are the first monthly based exams that you'll need to give in order to pass your academics. After that, Practicals and then written exams.

IIIT Kota was initially running at the MNIT Jaipur which is under top 10 nits. IIIT Kota's placements faced a drastic decrement in placement percentage from 92% in 2021 to 74% in 2024, because the campus had shifted to kota in 2021. In 2023-2024 the number of offers was 140 and eligible students were 162, the higest package was of 65 lakh and avg was 13.09. Companies such as yamaha, jio, oyo, infosys, microsoft, samsung sds, amazon capegimini etc visits. Student not only dependent on on- campus, but should also be in touch of off-campanies, and in good approach with their senior. I will frequently keep applying for job interviews.
