Remarks

College management is not very efficient. College as a whole is quite Entertaining because you do get a lot of free time even after studying. The college is kept quite unclean, full of patients of a Lower socioeconomic group and hence, the environment is not very healthy but the students are awesome.

Entrance Preview

WBJEE 154/250 It provides a lot of scope for practicals.

Course Curriculum Overview

Hostel Facilities

2

The hostel is available. Cheap hostel: 224 rupees per semester. Food: Very Bad. Cannot tolerate it even for a bit. Had to arrange it from outside the hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni meet occurs once a year. Seniors are helpful.

Exam Structure

It is a hectic day on average with gaps and entertainment (friends). Class starts at 9 a.m. I.e. Ward duty (which rarely happens). Practical classes are from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and theory classes from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Admission

Through WBJEE Counselling which was online, except for the verification part. which was done at R.G. Kar Medical College. The Administration was more or less helpful.

Faculty

2

They are well qualified but nevertheless, maximum of them do not know how to teach. They are doctors first, teachers later I guess. The teachers, however, are very enthusiastic about their subjects.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite well maintained till 3rd year but the final year syllabus is too vast to complete within 1 year. I feel duration has to be increased a bit. The process of acquiring knowledge entirely depends on the individual pursuing this course as there is no spoonfeeding as in other courses.
