Course Curriculum Overview

I was interested in the business systems so I decided why not go with the computer science field that's why I chose this course and the opportunity and placement were great ` the faculty was great and the student ratio is massive

Class Size: 41Course Fees: INR 130000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are various companies that offer internship and learning programs and give performance certificates like TATA, CIDCO, TCS, TATA MOTORS, MAHINDRA, WIPRO, ORACLE and many more we have to do certain projects to make it easy to get an intern

Placement Experience

We became eligible for placement after 3 years the college had various opportunities to participate on various internship provided it helps to collect certificates which helps in a good cv report the highest placement from last year was 13 lac per annum from the CSE department

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't know much about the fees policy but the fees structure is about 550000 for a complete 4-year Btech programme there are many scholarships everyone can apply for SVMCM, JINDAL, OASIS plus there are campus jobs available

Campus Life

There are many fests and annual functions for the students and faculty such ongoing fest right now is paridih it is one of the largest fests of the college which offers cash prizes for winning and there is a fest for megatronix

Admission

Eligibility is 12th and wbjee is required, Cut off wbjee and 60% above in 12th Application forms are available on wbjee website and makaut websites Reservation for state quota 80% another state 15% and 5% for management from last year the admission was a bit late compared to other universities

IIT KGP: The kgpian way

Placement Experience:

4 yr btech students are eligible for cdc internship from the starting of their 3rd yr(5th sem) and for placement 7th sem. 5 yr dual degree students are eligible for cdc internship from the starting of 4th yr(7th sem) and for placement 9th sem. So many different profile companies came for placements like amazon, google, ibm, apple, l&t, wipro, infosys, texas intrument, etc. Highest package was 3cr and average is about 20-25 lakhs. Insightful Review - Revealing about campus life and academics.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from 7th semeter. Companies visited till now are : tejes - 9lpa, keysite - 7lpa, streebo - 5lpa and a few other product based companies with average pakage offered about 3lpa. Higest pakage - salesforce (32 lpa) off campus, keysite (7lpa) on campus. Last year 60% of total students from final year got placed. My plans is to purusue a higher degree as placement scene of your college is not that great and also i have intrest in ai/ml so i want to study future and dive more deep into its concepts

The course curriculum is not that different from other colleges. At the beginning or 1 st semester we are made to complete the bridge course which basically includes stuff we read in classes 11 and 12. But then also they can't teach properly the already read topics.

Good college

The college is very good at everything except that it has a little small campus and average placement. The wifi problem was solved too this year thanks to our new director. Overall the college management is very good. MSIT is currently the only ragging-free college in Kolkata.
