Course Curriculum Overview
The batches here are of medium strength, not too high not too low. Faculty are generally supportive of students if the student pays attention in class. Most of the professors are PhDs from renowned universities worldwide. I chose the CCE branch here as I could clear the cutoff for the same and in this branch, we have the option of learning subjects from two branches which opens a wide range of carrier options. In each semester there are two sets of exams, midterm and end-term. The difficulty level depends on the faculty but if you attend classes regularly it would not be so tough to pass.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies visit our college for internships as well for eg. BNY Mellon, Google, Adobe, Intuit, Codenation, Delloite, Barclays etc. They offer a stipend ranging from 30K to 80K per month. The requirements are problem-solving skills and Data structures and algorithms.
Placement Experience
The 4yr course students sit for placements from their 7th sem onwards. LNMIIT has a good placement record because of the coding culture here is quite nice. Some of the top recruiters at LNMIIT are Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, BNY Mellon, etc. The packages offered are in the range of 10 to 30 LPA. A great chunk of students eligible for placements get placed with a package in the above range. I will grab a placement and work on my job after my degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees in this college are one of the major cons here. It's pretty high and there is an annual fee hike too, generally around 10%. All in all the total fees the student ends up paying is around 17-19 Lakhs at the end of 4 years. I didn't apply for any scholarship, loan or job while studying here but if you want then there are plenty of opportunities available for you.
Campus Life
The annual cultural fest is Vivacity, tech fest is Plinth. Both of these are conducted in the month of January/February along with another fest called Desportivos, a sports fest. The library provides us with plenty of books and journals for our needs. The classrooms are all air-conditioned and the new classrooms are pretty big and nice. The college offers various sports facilities including cricket, football, basketball, tennis, and badminton and also has several societies for extra-curricular activities such as Robotics, drama, music, photography and entrepreneurship.
Hostel Facilities
The rooms are pretty well equipped with all the basic amenities. The hostels have spacious rooms with wifi facilities in most of them. In the girls' hostel, we have a common kitchen, laundry facility and common rooms as well. The mess service is okayish but in comparison to other colleges, it's better than them. The mess staff is open to feedback and suggestions and there is a separate student group for monitoring mess-related issues. Here students do not rent a room in a PG as there is no PG available.
Admission
The admission is truly based on the JEE main percentile score. The college has a separate counselling form which will be available on the website for students to apply. The eligibility criteria are min 75% in 12th boards. There are no reservation-based admissions in the college which is one of the best aspects here. I think the admission process is pretty simple and apt.
