Course Curriculum Overview

Because it is the best course for applied mechanics Ph.D. compared to other IITs. 1:22 faculty-student ratio. Ph.D. with some experience or with a postdoc. exams will be held at every semester's end and it was very difficult.

Placement Experience

after completing the synopsis students are eligible for placement. In many companies like Bajaj auto, Mahindra, Tata, google, GE, Seimens, etc. highest salary is about 25 lakhs per annum. I wanted to do a postdoc or I will join any R&D.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are very reasonable for Ph.D. students and they will institution fellowships from the institute students also get financial support from the institute or from the governments such as CSIR and PMRF fellowships.

Campus Life

The campus is good and everyone is very good students from different parts of India are very enthusiastic. All journals and books are available in the college library. Many sports activities are held in the campus.

Admission

Mtech/Btech with 75% or above / 80% or above with GATE qualified respectively. The application form is available on the institute's website. The reservations are as per government norms. No changes are needed in the admission process.

Interview Experience

The only interview is taken in my department for Ph.D. admission. The process is very easy if you qualify for the eligibility criteria then you will be shortlisted for the interview process. it is very easy for everyone.

Placement Experience:

Studenta are eligible for placements in pre final year only. They are also trained for interviews. College had placement cell named OCS which is generally manged by student representatives selected by autorities. They bridge between studenta and companies. Job fair is held every year on the fixe dtime metiones in the academaic calender. There are alot of companies visited uptill now and almost every peraon i know in my circle are placed with average package of 20 lacks anually. I am planning to get a postdic after completion of my degree.

Thrilling Life at IIT Delhi

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because it suited my skills as I am a research student and I had done my research project in mtech on Thermoelectric materials. So, I choose this course to live my interest and make it a career in the future. At IIT Delhi, the faculty: student ratio is 1:15. They are all Ph.D. holders. 95% of them have done many post-docs. Also, many professors have acquired their degrees from top foreign countries. Their teaching method is very unique. They focus on understanding the concepts more than just learning the things. Term exams occur in 4 months (2 term exams in 4 months: minor and major). The difficulty level is moderate.

Remarks:

IITD is an old IIT and has an entrepreneurial atmosphere making it my first choice.I applied for the some other colleges I am comparing with ahead. Fulfilling experience at IITD.

Bachelors is required with 55% atleast. JAM score is required. Cut off for obc was 33 as far as I remember . The entrance test tests your quantitative and qualitative ability. All the details are given on the website of iit delhi or just typing JAM would do. JAM gives you the opportunity to do your msc economics from iits. Admission to IITD occurs through JEE Advanced; In which an individual had to first clear JEE Mains then ADV. They have to prepare for three subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics; concepts must be clear from the base level. As soon as the application form will be released; news will come in newspapers since it's a national-level exam or you can search on the Official Jee mains website. Application fees for Jee Mains in 2022: 650/- and for Jee ADV: 2800/-(not sure). Application dates will be released on the official website. To avail of reservation benefits you must have a category certificate that had been renewed within 6 months from counseling (FOR OBC-NCL). If from SC-ST, then can use any certificate.
