The classrooms are well conditioned and very good.

Course Curriculum Overview

I wanted to pursue B.Tech at IIT Delhi. I got mechanical engineering here. The course curriculum is good. Faculty: student ratio is also good. The faculty is well qualified. The teaching assistants are sometimes not good. We have exams 3 times in a semester. 2 minor exams in between the semester and 1 major at the end of the semester.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 238000 per year

Internships Opportunities

For internships, many companies come, and most of them are for SDE. Companies in the field of consulting and finance also come. Some companies are Google, Microsoft, and Amazon. The stipend ranges from 30000 to 3-4 lakhs per month.

Placement Experience

After 6th semester, students become eligible for placements. A lot of companies visit the campus. Microsoft, Google, meta, Flipkart, Goldman Sachs, oracle, etc. The highest package is 3.5 crore. The average package is 12 lakhs. The percentage of students getting placement is 80%. My plan is to get job after my degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

Recently the hostel fee hiked. The cost to study may be high for some, but they are also provided with scholarships. I have not got any scholarship or financial assistance till now. Since I am in my second year I have not got any job till now.

Campus Life

The fests are quite good. The annual cultural fest Rendezvous happens around march. The annual tech fest, Tryst also happens around this month. Many other fests are conducted around the year. Literati is a fest conducted by BSP. Kaizen is conducted by NSS IIT Delhi. A lot of books are present in the library. The classrooms are very good. The sports facilities are good. There are facilities for every sport. A big swimming pool is there. Grounds for all kinds of outdoor sports are there. There are a lot of clubs in the college. Technical clubs, cultural clubs, and clubs for entrepreneurship. Technical clubs include the robotics club, Axlr8r-formula racing club, Aero club, etc. Cultural clubs like dance clubs, music clubs, etc.

Admission

The admission is through the exam JEE-Advanced. First, we have to take the exam. If we qualify for the exam, we can apply for admission. We need to fill in our preferences of which course of which IIT we want. According to our rank, we get college based on our preference. I have not availed of any reservation benefits. The admission process is good.

From Classrooms to Campus ; my dtu journey

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course curriculum at DTU is quite relevant and comprehensive. The reason I chose this course was the mix of strong fundamentals in the first year—like Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Programming—followed by department-specific core and elective courses that allow some flexibility and specialization. The curriculum gives a solid foundation for both real-world applications and further studies, especially through hands-on projects and lab work. That said, some areas could be improved, like including more industry exposure, internships, and practical case studies to bridge theory and real-world problems. Exams happen twice a semester (mid-terms and end-terms) and include assignments and projects as part of evaluation. While most exams are manageable if you keep up with the coursework, a few subjects can be challenging, and preparation is key to avoid surprises.

NIT Delhi: A Balanced Blend of Academics, Opportunities, and Campus Life

Placement Experience:

The annual placements at NIT Delhi are consistently getting better year by year where the top branches such as CSE, ECE, and IT are leading the way with their strong placement rates. Many students get hired at very attractive salaries by well-established companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, and Amazon. For example, the CTC of the best offers have reached as high as ?15–20 LPA in some instances. The Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches also contribute to the university’s overall placement record to some extent. Those students usually boost the available opportunities for themselves by taking up internships and off-campus offers. Moreover, the students who fail to get a job on the campus can still benefit out of the college atmosphere where the strong basics of coding, projects, and practical skills are taught which makes the students quite employable at startups, off-campus, or even when going for higher studies like M.Tech/GATE/abroad. To sum up, NIT Delhi is a very solid foundation for the students whether they want to have a career or continue with their education.

Great Placements but Campus needs improvements

Placement Experience:

After 3rd year students become eligible for campus placements. Almost 90% students gets placed. The top companies are Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Google and Adobe. The highest package is 53 lacks and the average package is 20 lacs. I plan to become a software engineer after i complete my course or study further.

A decent college

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Students get hired, obviously, and they get a decent package. Highest package from our college is 52 LPA. Average package is 7-8 LPA. Highest package off campus is 1.2 Cr. Per annum.

Firstly, IIT Delhi is a platform fromWhere you can achieve anything be it High salary, entrepreneurship, research and higher education, civil services, and what not to mention.
