Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course on recommendation by my by teacher faculty of electrical department is highly experienced and have enormoud knowledge in their respective fields. Exam pattern consists of one major, one minor and quizes spread over the semester.

Class Size: 250Course Fees: INR 238000 per year

Internships Opportunities

During placement companies do offer opportunities for internship. A variety of roles are offered like developer, manager , team head, finance manager, etc. Some companies I can list are samsung , microsoft. One may also have to apply for the internships on their own which open other opportunities like foreign internships.

Placement Experience

Placements are good. A large amount of well reputed companies come for recuitment like Google , Microsoft . Average pakage is about 14 lakhs. A good percentage of students get placed, I am not sure about the exact valur but around 85%. Currently I don't have any plans after degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is around 1.2 lakhs per semester. High amount concessions are given based on family income. One can also raise the fees by taking loans from the bank at very reasonable rates. Also many scholarships are provided by various oraganisations about which notifications will be raised on official mails.

Campus Life

Campus life is very good. Fests are conducted at large levels like Rendezvous, Tryst,etc. Library facilities are also very good , it allows you to borrow books and journals are also provided timely. The college has large number of opportunities for sports and other extra co-curricular activities. There are many student run clubs like PFC (photography club)

Admission

Admission was through JEE adcanced entrance exam (JEE- mains is required as prequisite).The application forms will be available online on official sites. Reservations are provided which very among different groups.

From Classrooms to Campus ; my dtu journey

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course curriculum at DTU is quite relevant and comprehensive. The reason I chose this course was the mix of strong fundamentals in the first year—like Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Programming—followed by department-specific core and elective courses that allow some flexibility and specialization. The curriculum gives a solid foundation for both real-world applications and further studies, especially through hands-on projects and lab work. That said, some areas could be improved, like including more industry exposure, internships, and practical case studies to bridge theory and real-world problems. Exams happen twice a semester (mid-terms and end-terms) and include assignments and projects as part of evaluation. While most exams are manageable if you keep up with the coursework, a few subjects can be challenging, and preparation is key to avoid surprises.

NIT Delhi: A Balanced Blend of Academics, Opportunities, and Campus Life

Placement Experience:

The annual placements at NIT Delhi are consistently getting better year by year where the top branches such as CSE, ECE, and IT are leading the way with their strong placement rates. Many students get hired at very attractive salaries by well-established companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, and Amazon. For example, the CTC of the best offers have reached as high as ?15–20 LPA in some instances. The Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches also contribute to the university’s overall placement record to some extent. Those students usually boost the available opportunities for themselves by taking up internships and off-campus offers. Moreover, the students who fail to get a job on the campus can still benefit out of the college atmosphere where the strong basics of coding, projects, and practical skills are taught which makes the students quite employable at startups, off-campus, or even when going for higher studies like M.Tech/GATE/abroad. To sum up, NIT Delhi is a very solid foundation for the students whether they want to have a career or continue with their education.

Great Placements but Campus needs improvements

Placement Experience:

After 3rd year students become eligible for campus placements. Almost 90% students gets placed. The top companies are Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Google and Adobe. The highest package is 53 lacks and the average package is 20 lacs. I plan to become a software engineer after i complete my course or study further.

A decent college

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Students get hired, obviously, and they get a decent package. Highest package from our college is 52 LPA. Average package is 7-8 LPA. Highest package off campus is 1.2 Cr. Per annum.
