MBA Core is the flagship program of KJ SIM but it also has MBA in Healthcare Management and MBA in Sports Management. The specializations offered are Finance, HR, Operations, and Marketing. There are many subjects that you can take as Minors like people management, economics, consultancy, and many others.

Internships Opportunities

The stipend range is from unpaid to 1 lakh. The unpaid companies however bring with them the advantage of brand names like JIO Creative labs an unpaid internship. The highest-paying companies were Arcesium, Cisco, Goldman Sacs, Gartner, etc. Other companies include JP Morgan, EY, Nerolac, ICICI, TCS, etc.

Placement Experience

Yes, the college provides placement support with an average package of 12.5 lakhs. The college also provides internship support to 1st-year students. The process starts from the month of Augusta and goes until the month of March.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees for the 1st year are around 9 lakhs and the 2nd year is about 12 lakhs. Hostel fees excluding security are 1.5 lakhs for 10 months since the course is for 10 months. Rest 2 months are for the internship. An additional mess fee of 50 thousand for 10 months has to be deposited. There are scholarships but only limited scholarships are available.

Campus Life

The campus is the best campus in Mumbai which also makes it a suitable location for shooting. It is a lush green campus with awesome sports facilities. The cleanliness is taken care of by specialized staff. Classrooms are equipped with ACs computers and projectors. The whole campus is wi-fi enabled.

Admission

I got admitted through NMAT score. NMAT is an adaptive exam that can be taken from a center as well as from home if you meet the requirements. The cutoff for the exam was 220 in the year 2022. NMAT Can be taken up to 3 times in a year's window but KJ Somaiya only accepts the scores for the first attempt scores. the exam fees are about 3000 and around 1500 for re-attempting.

Not a dream college but a real one

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements after completing 2nd semester and entering in 3rd semester. Attendance is compulsory for getting the opportunity for placements. The companies like IDBI Bank, HDFC Bank, Property pistol, Godrej Capital are available for placements. The highest paid package is 9.75 for sales and marketing. Till now( 3rd semester) 60% to 70% students are placed. There are more opportunities for sales and marketing as compared to other fields.

from 2 sem you get to apply from interships and from 5th sem for placements ,i applied for only company which was tiaa one of the most biggest mnc in india who is direct compitator of jp morgan , i got a package of 6 lacks ctc per anum but the highest package was 12 lacks , the college has a policy that all student gets placed no students are left behind

Promising campus with room for better faculty.

Placement Experience:

After sem 4 we get final placement companies in the campus there are total 200 plus companies come to the campus till september to november almost 35 companies already come to the campus. The companies are ICICI, HDFC, RISHAB WORLD, INSYNC, DENSTU, ITC, BHARAT ELECTRONICS, CORDELIA CRUISE, MORNING STAR, NOMURA, NYKA, NAUKRI.COM. the highest package was given by a company name bharat electronics for HR specialization is 12 lakhs per annum. Almost in my time there 35percent get placed. I plan after degree is first 3-5 yrs in corporate lufe then after own business.

KJ Somaiya - A lively campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.

No such bad remarks though. As the college is very superior and one can take admission with complete ease as the college faculty, staff, workers are very helpful and there motive is very clear and remarkable. This college surely helps students in grooming and enhancing skill to the top. Good post graduate program with strong cirriculum

Remarks:

Overall, I would say that I think this is a very unique course being offered by SP Jain and they are very strict with the submission timelines and quality of work. This is definitely is not a run off the mill part time MBA. The institute makes sure you sweat to earn your degree, respectfully!

THE TRUTH ABOUT KJ SOMAYA

I applied for feweer Colleges but not in Mumbai this was the only college i applied in Mumbai outside Mumbai i applied in Chennai Delhi Bhopal etc but as my parents suggested not to go far away and stay here I got approval too from many of them but when they saw I got approval in kj they said it's nice get this college u can stay here , addmission process is like hetciccccc like I have no words it soo bad , 70% I might say to be eligible cutoff for these exams are not that much so you can be chill bro...Read More

SOMAIYA (Best for MBA )

I have applied in three colleges namely 1). Mumbai University 2).K.J.Somaiya college of engineering 3).Swami Vivekananda society of engineering. I did apply for just one more college for safety as I was very sure of getting admission in KJ. I had heard a lot about KJ's HM so dreamt of it. I availed Gujarati quota for admission. The selection criterion includes cut-off cleared scores of CAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ NMAT/ GMAT, a GD-PI round, past academic records and work experience if any. For CAT and XAT, the cut-off is usually 80-85%ile; for GMAT, the cut-off is 550-600 and for CMAT it is 85-90%ile. The group discussion is case-based.
