GROUND REALITY OF MY COLLEGE

I choose ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND DATA SCIENCE because I didn't get into the core CS branch from the counseling as the cutoff was higher, but I don't regret my decision because the whole curriculum is the same and the faculty is much better in this branch compared to other CS branches. The faculty in my college is very lenient and supportive, they have good qualification and Ph.D. graduates from good Colleges like IIT BHU, NSUT, etc.....and some teachers teach with a great passion, they'll always focus on each and every student. There is not much of an attendance issue here, even if u have less than 75% attendance you may get detained in sessional exams but that too can be managed if you request your coordinators and no one gets deb bard in semester exams. In my class, there are 60 students and out of 60… 13 are girls and the rest are boys . There are three sessional exams conducted every month, which they call CAE( continuous assessment examination)

In second year, we are told to do internships on our own and do mini projects and build a strong CV. From third year, placement prepration starts and companies come for the incampus placement, many companies come for placement , faculty guide and help students in preparing for placement and interviews. You'll be Eligible to sit in campus placement only if you don't have any BACKLOG in my semester exams. Companies like OPPO, VIVO, TCS , INFOSYS, BYJUS, SAMSUNG, WIPRO, ACCENTURE etc comes in college with an average package of 4-5 lakhs . Some students even manage to grab package of 9-10 lakhs , but this is accomplished by very few students. Highest package is around 32 lakhs and average package is around 4-5 lakhs . Around 70% students get placed in campus placement remaining 30% must have a backlog or failed to clear interview rounds. My plan is to find a good package whether it is from in campus or offcampus placement.

I feel the course fees are very nominal, but the hostel fees are expensive considering the facilities they provide. The fee is around 1.09 lakhs per year which means 4.40 lakhs for 4 years of btech course, excluding hostel charges and examination charges which you have to give every year which is around 7800 rupees through AKTU ERP. there are two hostels inside the campus, one for girls and the other for boys. The boy's hostel is Fully non AC but the girls' hostel has an AC facility. Our college provides information about the scholarship and helps in filling scholarship forms to students, other than this no other financial assistance is given . The placement cell is active and they provide assistance and make you practice for the interviews and faculty helps in guiding you for the interviews.

Our college life is great, there are many clubs to show your talent and many club fests are going on every month. Every day something keeps going on in college. We also have a big fest called UNIFEST in which celebs come to perform. last time HARDY SANDHU came to our college. UNIFEST is of two to three days in which DJs and other artists come and perform. We also have a freshers party which is absolutely great and many artists come to perform..... recently KRSNA came to our college to perform. Now talking about the library and other sports facilities, so .. library is open from 9:00 to 5:00 where you have access to many books with recent collections. The library is big and has an AC facility but ventilation is a problem in summer. In the first year block, there are non-AC rooms but when you come in BLOCK E, from second year onwards you'll be shifted to AC classrooms. There is a basketball court, table tennis board, and badminton court in the college. But you have to bring your own pieces of stuff to play with.

My admission was done on the basis of JEE rank through AKTU counseling. The counseling fee was 20k which will be included in the college fees after getting a seat into the college from your preference order. I am an OBC candidate from Bihar but I didn't get any reservation benefits from AKTU counseling or from college in regard to fees. The admission process was smooth and it was all based on your JEE RANK and cutoff that is decided by the colleges. The CS branch is filled very quickly.... mostly in the first two rounds of counseling, seats of good Colleges get filled so...make sure you fill your preference order carefully.
