Course Curriculum Overview

In each semester there are two internal examinations for each subject and 1 semester End Examination is conducted. It is quite easy to pass the examination but passing lab externals becomes difficult for some students sometimes due to strictness.

Internships Opportunities

Internships start from the end of 5th-semester students. Companies like Amazon provides Data Engineering roles, web development, etc. Cisco also provides internships, stipend they Provide as 98000/month. Students after doing internships get selected for full-time mostly.

Placement Experience

Placement is quite good in our college. from the beginning of the 7th semester, companies start visiting our college .last year more than 250 companies visited. Companies like Intuit, Twilio, Amazon, JP MORGAN, etc visit. The placement percentage for branches like CSE & ISE is 96%+, the average package is 6.5 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

For the 2023 batch, COMEDK fees were approx 280000/year but for CET it was 120000/year. The scholarship is provided but only for students who have taken admitted through CET. PLACEMENT is quite good, last year more than 250 companies visited our campus. more than 188 students got packages of more than 10LPA

Campus Life

There are various technical, non-technical, and cultural clubs in our college that help students to develop their personality and their soft skills. These clubs help the students with their interviews preparation. Example: Avalanche (management club) Decoders( Technical club)

Hostel Facilities

Cleanliness is there is a Hostel mess and food quality is average, sometimes it becomes good if students complain to the chief warden. The registration process for a hostel is quite smooth but you have to pay the whole fee once at a time

Admission

Admission to Siddaganga Institute of Technology is through CET, COMEDK, and management quota, quite a smooth process is there for admission in B.E courses but due to various reasons like counseling and other processes it starts late. So it can be started at the correct time.

A Brief Review of My College (New Horizon College of Engineering)

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our college (NHCE) is affiliated to VTU but it's autonomous college. I like mechanical engineering and my father is also a mechanical engineer which inspired me to mechanical engineering. It is a bit outdated, expect more applications of the concepts. As I said we have exams every month, the frequency is good and the difficulty of exams I mid to easy range.

Experience at new horizon.

Placement Experience:

From 4th semester onwards students are eligible for the placement. Alots of companies like VISA,IBM,Accenture etc2 visited our college. The highest package recorded as of 2023 was from VISA offering 32.2 lakhs. 90 percent of the students get placed. After I get my degree I will work for awhile in the corporate world and starting up my own business on the side.

Placement Experience:

Many top MNC's come to the college. Recently the placement opportunities has increased when compared to our batchs.Companies like TCS, Wipro, IBM, Infosys, SLK, Mphasis etc had given us the opportunity. The average package offer was 3.5lpa or 4lpa. The highest package known to me was 10lpa for a CS student not for us. The placements begins either at the end of 6th sem or in the beginning of 7th sem. Almost 60-70% of us were placed by the end of graduation but due to recession the onboarding was very late. Waited for more than a year to get onboarded.

The college placements are pretty good and provide an average of 6lpa for the students. There are lot of IT companies visit to oyr college but there are no opportunities for the courses other than IT related branches. Students become eligible after their 6th semester in the academics.
