Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I was getting this course at my rank. Also, placement is quite decent here. All the latest ECE equipment and labs are present here. Faculties are mostly well qualified and did their Ph.D. from Top IITs and many other foreign colleges.

Internships Opportunities

Few companies come for internships. 5-6 I would. And their stipend varies from 20k- 50k. Some offer PPO too . It is improving every year as new companies are coming every year. So it will improve for sure

Placement Experience

Students get eligible for placement from the 7th semester. The highest domestic package was 45 lakhs and the foreign package was 80 lakhs. The average package is 14 lakhs The median package is 13 lakhs. Placement will improve more in future

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fees per semester are 1.3 lakhs and it increases by 10? for every incoming batch. It will cost around 3.3 lakhs per year which includes hostel and mess fees. Hostel fees are 12500 per semester and mess fees are 4000 per month

Campus Life

The campus is of area 66 acres but it's still in developing condition. The campus has a lake too The sports ground is being reconstructed and is expected to be completed in the next 5-6 months. Also a town hall and Student Activity Center is developing. I

Hostel Facilities

The hostel is quite good. It is a newly built hostel with good infrastructure. Hostel fees of 12500 are quite justified. The main hostel has 7 floors and all rooms have attached bathrooms. You can easily beautiful hill of Meghalaya from the hostel balcony

Hostel Fee: INR 25000 per year

Admission

You need to qualify for jee mains. And get a rank under 30k for getting an ECE branch and 22k for getting CSE. The admission process is done through JOSSA Counseling. You can read more about the process on the JOSSA website

Interview Experience

There was no interview process or Test specific to IIIT Guwahati. You just need to clear Jee's mains exams with a decent rank of around 10k- 30k for the general category to get into this college. Counseling is done through JOSSA

Great college with decent infrastructure and a large campus

Placement Experience:

The placements here are actually decent. The average package for my branch was around 13.5 LPA last year and branches like CSE, EC and EI have a higher average package generally. The campus is visited by almost all of the top companies including Google, Adobe, Facebook, etc. The detailed placement records are available on the website of the institute.The percentage of students getting placed ranges anywhere between 70 percent to 92 percent. I plan to get an M.Tech degree after completing my B.Tech course from an IIT if possible.

Placement Experience:

Placement percentage is nearly about 75-80%. Usually students get placed in good PSUs, or in tech companies. Other students opt for further studies like mtech or mba. My plans is to mtech as I want to do better jobs than a btech graduate do

Normally from third semester student become eligible campus placements but most usually take placements in fourth semester or fifth semester The percentage of getting placements are about 60% The highest package per company usually was ?80,000 per month and the average is around 20,000 Per month My plan is to get a job of a construction firm for about one year so that I can collect good amount of experience and they will hire me because I am passout from this college because this is one of the most reputed college after one year or two year, I will try for government exams or some private companies like Gautam farm, et cetera

The students who are appearing for the 7th semester end term examination are eligible for the campus placement drive , eligibility varies as per the companies eligibility criteria, main factors are CGPA score of the particular student. There are many companies who visited the campus for placement drive but the main companies who visited for campus placement drive are : NRL( Numoligorh Refinery Limited) ,ONGC( oil natural gas corporation) etc , the highest package offered was 24 lpa by NRL and the offer was got by 8 students and the average package of our college is 7lpa approx

An honest review for NIT silchar with detail analysis.

Placement Experience:

Placement of NIT silchar is pretty good. Average package is around 12 Lpa. Although after corona the placement dropped but still it is good. Many big tech companies visit during placement for full time and internship. Core companies also visits for different roles. During our placement season it happens generally after 7th semester. Generally criteria for sitting in any company varies based on cgpa and sometimes 10th and 12th marks depends on company to company generally it is 6 or 7 or 8 cgpa. Good it companies offer 20-30lpa and lowest offer was 6th lpa.

Placement Experience:

For campus placement student are eligible from 7th sem and for internship whole 3rd year 5th to 6th sem. Highest package till now is 34 lpa i guess in intuit .and lowest 6lpa.I am totally focus into doing job rsther than doing higher studies .Iam placed at Deloitte and i am happy.till now 50 percent students of civil got plsced 80 percent Cse

Review of the college in north east

This college has a good curriculum and also great for going to research side I preferred this over the others I applied because the others had no permanent campus and were very far from home moreover some do not have good research programs .I preferred this college over IIIT pune IIIT kota and vit which gave me a confirmed admission.i got rejected from a few colleges like mnit allahabad IIIT lucknow and IIIT Allahabad because I did not reach its cut off ranks .the admission process is quite simple in my college it is done through jossa councelling of jee .u can get admission through jee mains it is the most preferred exam by the students and for cse branch u have to get above 20000 rank and for ece above 430000 this is for general male...Read More
