Course Curriculum Overview
I think the faculty-student ratio is not as good as 1:80. Teaching method here is not that easy to understand. Faculties are very qualified and most of them have practical experience. Passing is a little difficult due to relative grading.
Internships Opportunities
There are a lot of companies that come with a got stipend of 30k, 50k, 1lakh, or even 2 lakhs per month. A lot of live project opportunities are also provided by different committees in different domains.
Placement Experience
In term 5 final placements starts. A huge number of companies visit with a good package. There is an ample number of opportunities provided by the placement committee. The highest is somewhere 1 Crore and the average 30 lakh.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is high no doubt. Scholarships are there mostly for reserved students. I got an internship in Sustlabs, a startup inside IIT Bombay with a stipend of 1 lakh for 2 months. Job opportunities here are really good.
Campus Life
Utsaha and Iris are conducted every year in the month of October and November respectively. Extracurricular activities are not much, it completely depends on you how much you take part. There are a lot of committees like placement, infrastructure, etc.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are really good here. No sharing, 1 room for 1 person. Water quality is not that good in hostels and mess facilities are not also very good. The registration process is not very difficult here since it's a residential program, and everyone is allotted hostel.
Admission
I have CAT 2021 as my first step to getting into IIM Indore. Anyone who is a graduate or in the final year of graduation can apply for CAT. More details regarding CAT can be found on its website. IIM Indore's cut-off depends on what background you have, and what is your gender, and if female, you get extra points during the interview shortlist and final result. Non-engineers also get extra points. The cut-off is somewhere between 98-99.8 percentile in CAT with a stellar academic record as weightage during shortlisting is only 20% for CAT scores and remaining for past academic scores and others. Cut-off differs according to category. Above mentioned cut-off is for a general-category student. Due to Covid, I had an online interview and there was no GD. The interview questions will be majorly on your work experience or internship and academic background if you are a fresher. For improvement, I think less weightage should be given to past academic scores and more to CAT scores.
Interview Experience
I only had an online interview due to Covid, no GD. As I am from Rajasthan, the question was asked a lot of questions on graduation subjects and internship as I am a fresher. An extempore topic was given at the end, my topic was, problems that women face in a corporate office.
