At first, I was a bit confused about going to the School of Management studies CUSAT or other colleges in Ernakulam. But when I did a thorough research on all colleges I felt SMS CUSAT is definitely the best option of all due to the following reasons - 1. ROI - Return on Investment ( The fee is the least at SMS CUSAT i.e. 135000 for 2 years 2. The quality of education is really commendable I never expected it to be soo good 3. Well-educated, experienced and qualified faculties really help in building the core of SMS. 4. Everyone including our director sir puts immense effort into helping the students excel as MBA students. 5. Outcome-based curriculum - though it might seem tough initially but trust me it will help you to apply the concepts you have learned.

Since I'm in my second semester we have just started looking for more internship opportunities. ICICI Prudential, Women, Aster pharma, and ICIC BANK are some companies that have provided us with internship opportunities.

Being the placement cell member of SMS CUSAT I can proudly say that our team is really efficient in bringing the best placement results as of now. Our current year's highest package was for 20lakhs per annum and the average package was for 9.53lakhs per annum, the highest of all times. This achievement is mainly because of the placement team, students, teacher, and our Director sir's efforts and hard work.

If you are looking for quality education with really exposure to both academic and co curricular activities the. SMS , CUSAT is definitely the place you should go. You are provided with these benefits for the lowest fees any other colleges from Ernakulam can offer. Also the life at CUSAT is something you have to experience.

Infrastructure wise SMS CUSAT has developed a lot. It has its own charm and I feel it's located at the best spot in the entire CUSAT campus. We have a lots of club - Readefine , Speak up club , media club , marketing club etc. If you really love being active and to participate in various events and clubs trust me you will always keep enjoying life @ SMS. By the end of 2 years you will definitely learn to be a good manager for sure.

For getting admission into the School of Management Studies, CUSAT we have to either write CAT, CMAT, or KMAT entrance exams. I personally wrote CMAT and scored above the 81 percentile. If you have pretty good scores in your entrance exam then you will definitely get shortlisted in the initial screening process. PS - Practice the previous year's question papers thoroughly to get good scores.

After the initial screening process based on the cut-off marks, we are called for the GD and interview. The group discussion can be cracked if you are good at initiating a discussion and if you have good speaking and communication skills. The interview is a bit difficult to crack you need to be prepared and confident to crack it. But nothing is impossible if you work hard you can definitely clear both the GD and the interview.
