Hostel allotment - Only a few students are provided hostel facility. Some students who are residing far from the campus are not provides hostels due to lack of room availability.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course structure is based on OBE Outcome Based Education. In total there are 4 semesters - for 2 years. Exams would be conducted every 6 months for each semester. The course offers specialization in the areas like finance, marketing, HR, analytics, operations, etc.

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities are provided by the campus placement cell which is run by the faculty placement officers and students. Students can also find internship opportunities on their own. Students can do internships on the domain that they intend to specialize.

Placement Experience

Placements start from the third semester itself. The average CTC offered is around 7 lakh. The highest CTC offered is 20 lahks as of now. Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is around Rs 35000 per year. The total fee for 2 years is around Rs150000 including the hostel rent and other fees. Scholarship such as E- grants, Student aid funds is provided for the students.

Campus Life

"Talentime" is the annual fest of SMS CUSAT. It is the biggest management fest in south India with a legacy of over 38 years. A university library and a department library is available for students. Classrooms are equipped with smart class facilities. Various club and social group activities are carried out on campus such as the Marketing club, Finance club, Sparsham( social group ), NSS, Entrepreneurship development club, Nature club, etc. Which are actively run by the students

Admission

The admission process is simple and transparent. The applicants should have appeared for CMAT / KMAT or CAT and should have a valid score for applying to the school of management studies CUSAT. The selected applicants will be shortlisted based on their entrance exam scores and should appear for PI and GD. The selected candidates will be informed about further admission procedures.

Great College with Best ROI

Placement Experience:

From the 5th Semester onwards, i.e. in November the placement process starts. The eligibility criteria for placements is to get at least 4.8 CGPA out of 8 CGPA. Approximately 60 or more companies have visited our campus until now and more than 85% of people have been placed. (As of 3rd February 2022) The highest package until now is around 14 Lakh per annum and the average package per company is around 8 Lakh per annum. (As of 3rd February, 2022) We have a target of 100% placements until April 2022. I have already been placed, so, my plan is to do well in the job I got into, and I'm very happy about it.

Glimpses of SMS CUSAT

CMAT/kmat/CAT score is necessary and there is no specific cut-off. After normalizing the score, the shortlisting process will be done. Around 700 students get the short list and after that, GD and PI will be conducted. 70% weightage is for normalized score and 30% weightage is for GD and PI. The eligibility came down to three aspects entrance exam marks gd and interview. Entrance exam included cmat kmat and cat exams there were no exact cut off but a minimum of 200 in kmat is required.
