The course curriculum of MBA at CUSAT is of wide ambit and follows Outcome Based Evaluation system. The curriculum is designed to enhance the professional exposure of students, emphasizing industrial internships, projects, and other associated activities. The faculty at SMS CUSAT are highly qualified, with industrial experiences and great profession merit. A total of 24 permanent faculty, all with PhD in various management fields handle the courses. The Faculty: Students ratio is 1:16. Each semester is around 5 months long. Ample time is provided for completion of syllabus and conduct of End Semester Exams. A two month gap is allotted for Summer Internships and Projects.

Internship opportunities are provided to students. Companies like IBM, KPIT technologies, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, federal bank, Shriram insurance, wexon technology, etc hire students as interns with stipends. Both Full-time summer internships and part-time internships are available.

The university provides ample placement opportunities to students. Students can appear for placement drives from Semester 3. Companies like EY, KPMG, Khimji Ramdas, Cafe Coffee Day, Kellogg's, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, federal bank, Berger paints, TCS, etc are the leading recruiters. The highest CTC offered is 20.5 LPA and the lowest id 5.5 LPA. Around 90-95 percent of students get placed.

The course fees are very nominal since CUSAT is an autonomous State-run University. The semester fee is around Rs. 36,000 for general category students. Eligible candidates can apply for government scholarships. Internships (with stipends) and Placement opportunities are provided through the Placement Cell of the Department.

The campus, extending to 200 acres at the heart of Kochi city is rich in diversities. The extended greenery of the campus is remarkable. The university provides facilities like gymnasiums, an indoor stadium, synthetic tracks and fields, sports arenas, an amphitheater, an open-air auditorium, rainwater harvesting, science parks, gardens, nature walkways, etc. The student's amenity center is a one-stop spot for all requirements of students. The university promotes extracurricular activities such as sports and arts, and eligible students can avail of grace marks. Organizations and clubs like NSS, nature clubs, management clubs, quiz clubs, etc are in operation at the university.

Admissions to the course are based on performances in the IIM CAT, CMAT and KMAT Entrance exams, combined with weightage in GD and Personal Interview. The procedures are completely computerized and thus, very transparent. The admissions are completely Merit- based.
