The department placement cell helps students get Internships by bridging the gap but getting selected depends on the performance of the student.

The semester Fee for General Category Students is around 38,000 per sem. Students who belong to SC/ST and OBC Category are close to 2000 per sem. Students belonging to economically weaker sections have immense scholarship opportunities offered by the University (Govt) as well as private institutions.

SMS conduct one of the oldest management fest in South India "Talentime" general conduct during Jan and Feb, Student can also participate in Fest conducted by other department and annual cultural and sports events and competitions. Apart from programs conducted by the department and the university SMS students are also given the opportunity to manage or volunteer and participate in programs and events hosted by various organizations. The University library and the department library have a large collection of books, generally, department libraries have books that are more suited for being used as textbook or references books. The department has Specialization clubs like the Financial club, Marketing Club, etc, and also a CSR club called "Sparsham" introduced with the aim of creating social awareness among students.

Students can apply online through the admission portal of Cochin University of Science and Technology Aspirant need to have a graduation degree with 55% or above CGPA ( Final year students can also apply). Entrance exams accepted are KMAT(Kerala MAT) / CMAT / CAT (IIM) along with GD & Interview. 70% Entrance Exam, 15% GD, 15% Interview Cochin University is a public university hence all reservations applicable to public universities are available.
