Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course due to the high demand in the tech field and my interest in it. There is roughly 1 teacher for every 20 students here. All of the faculty is qualified but the professors have good enough qualifications. However, the teaching methods aren't very good and the curriculum is quite old school and includes subjects and assignments that are of no use to a software engineer. Term exams are monthly as due to corona the students this year reached the campus late. The term exams are not very tough to pass and just 2 days of study is enough for one to pass in them for someone who has cracked jee mains.
Internships Opportunities
I don't have a clear idea about this topic as I am just a fresher here. But as the seniors have told me there are many internships offered here. Microsoft is one of the top companies that provide internships here.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester. The placement stats can be checked online on different websites. The highest package offered recently is 65 LPA and the average overall college is in the range of 12-16 LPA. The average of the computer engineering branch is 20-25 LPA. Nearly 90% of students here get placed. I plan on getting campus placements and then maybe starting a start-up someday.
Fees and Financial Aid
The cost to study here is very less as it is a government institution and there are many scholarships a person can apply for. There is a fee waiver for different castes and different people who are in different slabs of income. There are enough campus jobs provided here.
Campus Life
The annual fest is namely confluence and the tech fest is known as Techspardha. They are usually conducted in October and December respectively. There is a good enough amount of books and journals provided in the library of this college. The classrooms have air conditioners for hot weather. The sports and extracurricular activities are quite good. There is a football, basketball and cricket team at this college. There is also a sports fest namely citius. There are many societies and clubs some of them are technobyte, microbus, suc, mad, lst and many more.
Hostel Facilities
The room has a bed, a table and a chair, a cupboard, a balcony. The meal here is decent and menu is decided by a students body. The hostels are very affordable and the process is smooth which can be seen on the college's website.
Admission
The entrance exam required for entrance to this college is known as jee mains. The cut-off required to join this college is different for different branches and those can be checked online on various websites. The entrance to this college requires one to apply for counseling known as Josaa or Csab. As it is a government college there are various reservations provided to different castes, PWD candidates, and female candidates. Anyone who clears the required cut-off is eligible to apply for this course. The admission process was smooth and everything took place online.
