Remarks :

A pass percentage of 45-50 was required to get admission for graduation. The higher the percentage, the more the chance of getting a seat in this college. the application form, fees and application dates were found on the website of the college. Reservation benefits were availed after submitting the community certificate. The admission process was carried out smoothly and results were declared on time.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The reason I choose Bsc.Zoology was mainly because of my love for Biology. A ratio of 1:10 is maintained for faculty: students. All the professors are highly qualified with Phd or Master. The teaching is indeed fabulous with proper syllabus and revisions. Term or semester exams were conducted on fixed dates. As questions were syllabus-based, every student who followed the lectures could easily pass the exams.

Class Size : 40Course Fees : INR 8000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

NIKASU - It's a food production company working in CSEZ, Kakkanad. They had offered a placement as a store manager as well as a receptionist with a stipend of 9000/- per month. Besides this, students were also selected to do internships in CMFRI etc. Some could also perform as student counsellors.

Placement Experience :

Students are eligible for campus placement if they have cracked 2/3 of the semesters. Most of the companies that visit the students of the Zoology stream are Medical or chemical firms. They offer placements with an average salary of 10000/-. While some of the students decide to accept the job, others prefer to do a Master's degree or some other diploma courses.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

A fee of approximately 4000/- was charged per semester. This was including the lab charges. We had to pay a separate amount for textbooks. Outstanding students were provided with scholarships as well as appreciation awards.

Campus Life :

St.Teresa's College is well-known for its awesome and vibrant campus atmosphere. The annual fest is normally conducted in the month of January. A well-maintained library rich in books is another attraction of the college. Reference books and journals are available for every subject. There are blackboards as well as projectors for presentation in the classrooms. Sports Day, Arts Day as well as all other important days are celebrated with full enthusiasm. NSS, NCC, Environment Club, Arts Club, Sports Club etc. are exhibiting commendable activities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This is a 3 year course. You have exams after each sem (there are 6 semesters). From2024 onwards its a 4 year course. Teachers make us aware about the syllabus. They teach according to the syllabus. They prepare notes and presentations for us. They go through the previous year question papers and give us important topics for studying. That helps students a lot. From 5th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like TCS (3.33 LPA), Accenture (3.44 LPA), ICICI prudential life insurance (2.85 LPA), Intellipaat (7.25 LPA), Goan institute international consociation of education, Arvind fashions (2.66 LPA), Tenzotech (2.4 LPA), Chegg India (3.6 LPA) offer placements. This is the placement list of 2024. Here 7.25 LPA is the highest package. Companies place students in their companies based on personal interviews and tests. Only students with no supply at the time of applying for this placement can appear for tests and interviews. Near 50 percent students got placements and many other students opt for higher education and other jobs.
