The college management is very smart in taking fine from the students in all the silly things. But overall it is good for all other things and in managing the whole college.

I took admission in this college through COMEDK (Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka) which is an entrance exam for Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges in Karnataka. I took this course because i was interested in doing engineering from my childhood. For admission in this college either you can crack the COMEDK with a good rank or if you are a Karnataka student you can join this college by CET exam.

The course curriculum of our college is average. We have the courses as prescribed by the VTU (Visvesveraya Technical University, Belgaum). Although we have two electives that we can choose in 3rd and 4th year. The 1st elective is core elective which is the subject of same branch that you study and 2nd is the open elective in which you can take the subject of any branch except your own branch.

Till now my college doesn't provide internships. But if you want to join any internship you can contact your HOD and they will help you and guide you through it.

Every year the no. Of students getting placed is increasing. Last year a recognized company Microsoft came to our college and took 6 students of Ise & Cse. Many more recruiters comes to our college, some of them are wipro, tech mahindra, infosis, L&T , sonata, gdata, hp,dell, symantec , indian army etc. The highest package of the year 2015 is 18 lakhs. The average package of our college is 3-4 lakhs.

The famous techno-cultural event that takes in our college is our college fest which we call Annadyanta.

As you know that the fee structure of all the colleges in Bangalore are very expensive. This is the main problem with the colleges in Bangalore. Then keeps on increasing the fee every year and they put fine for very small and silly things. This is what i hate in my college.

No, this is the disadvantage of our college. Our college do not provide any scholarship or loan facility for any type of students.

The college life in our college is average as it is away from the city. The college is about 3 kms away from the main road due to which sometimes we face difficulties in going out for buying something, but the good thing is the college provides buses at evening for the hostel students to go out. But the good thing is that there is no tolerance with regards to gender, ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation, politics and economic status. All are equal and the gender ratio is approx same.

The hostel facilities in our college campus are good. We have 4 boys hostel and 2 girls hostel. The hostel rent is 50000 per year. The hostel rooms are sharing (4 or 2). We have separate hostel for 1st year boys to prevent from any senior fears. The hostel rooms and bathrooms are good. There is regular supply of water and electricity and we have wi-fi in our hostels. The mess of our college is not best but its far better than mess of other colleges in Bangalore. There is regular cleaning of mess. The monthly mess bill is approx 2000.

This part is not good in our college as in my case. I didn't know any alumni network and and i didn't get any help from the senior student. Although some seniors are good when you keep interacting with them.

As our college is an autonomous institution our Exam structure is different from VTU colleges. We have our exams in two parts- internal and external. Both carry the equal weight-age (50-50). We give 3 internal exam 30 marks each out of which average of best 2 are taken and 10 marks is for assignment/project and 10 marks for surprise test. For remaining 50 marks we give external or final exam which is of 100 marks and then converted to 50 and then added with the internal marks and then total is calculated.

I cracked the COMEDK entrance exam with a good rank of 12072. Then i went for the COMEDK first-round counselling. In my rank i found this college appropriate for me. So i selected Information Science & Engineering branch in this college. In the counselling process first you need to wait for your rank to be called and then you need to verify all your Xth, XIIth, COMEDK rank card original certificates and then you can choose the appropriate course and college according to your rank.

Some faculties are very good and show a good interest in teaching students and taking them forward and always try to help them while some are very boring like they come to class teach some boring stuff and go out without explaining them. All the teachers are good qualified but what that matters is the tactics they use for teaching students.
