Entrance Preview

I wrote EAMCET exam in 2011 and earned a score of 74. My score was not enough to get admitted in the main campus of CMR institution, Anyway I got a seat in other campus of same college. I chose Mechanical Engineering in Bachelor of Technology, which I found fascinating at that moment.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I would say one of the best course available and you just need a little bit of interest in it. It starts with fundamentals of creating an energy and goes through the efficient ways of utilising it.

Internships Opportunities

I did my internship at Hyundai servicing center. I used to deal with Steering Mechanism at the center where I learned a lot of stuff about today's automobiles and developed few ideas which I found to be enhancements for tomorrows vehicles. I used to get 3500 per month as stipend.

Placement Experience

4.5

My college was already known for decent placements. There was good increase in no of companies coming to our college when chairman of institution has become a minister after 2014 elections. That is how I got placed in a Company named Thermax which manufactures reactors for steel plants. But I was not interested in it due to my personal reasons.

College Events

4

Though our college has plenty of popularity, our festival was not among the top 10 in my city. Yet the celebrations were good enough when compared with all the colleges. 'Azura' was the name of our college festival, conducted for 3 consecutive days. It is a compilation of sports, Radio channels, arts what not.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yeah, there were scholarships which were given every year by our college management by conducting a competitive exam. I wasn't bright enough to look that scholarship. Almost every bank offered educational loan in my city, And my college was pretty popular which granted loans a bit easier.

Campus Life

4.5

Every one loves their campus life. There was no discrmination in my college based on gender or race. But I've seen my friends from other colleges who faced it. I would rate my labs 9/10, when compared with 70% of other colleges. My college is state champion of Hand Ball since 8 years. There would be a debate once every week and I was a regular and known participant.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I wasn't from a hostel, though I know how my college hostels were through my classmates. They always say about their breakfast, in their words it was better than any home food and best part is there were no limits to hostel students during breakfast. But

Alumni/Alumna

There are few film actors and celebrities from my college who come to our college festivals now and then. My seniors were just fine, not much of fun. They wouldn't hesitate to help but they were a bit reserved. There was no ragging and other stuff, everything was peaceful.

Faculty

4.5

If it is about my faculty, lucky me they were just what I wanted. They always wanted us to use that knowledge for ourselves rather than asking for scores. Especially my HOD, he encouraged the students from 2nd year itself to execute minor projects [ we di

Placement Experience:

From 4th sem itself students are eligible for placements. Although students get access to paid internships from their 1st year itself, just they need some effort. But as NIAT is yet new and no batch has passed out yet so we still don't have the exact placement percentage rate. But as we are getting paid internships from 1st year itself so it's very evident that placement would also be good

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
