How to be an Engineer from Purulia Polytechnic?

Eligibility: 10th Passed with minimum 40% marks obtained. There are no donations rather and there are Admission fees of about 1000 rupees. Application Process: You have to qualify for an entrance exam called JEXPO, conducted by West Bengal Govt. Reservations do exist here at the time of admission. I think the admission processes should be in Online mode. That would be great.

I'm fascinated with Electrical Theories and Practical that's why I chose Electrical Engineering as my career. The Faculty: student is 11: 71, All professors are so well qualified. They have qualified for the exam conducted by Public Service Commission. All are MTech holders. There are two term exams and one final semester. 1st term will be after 1month and after 2month the 2nd will be held. And finally the semester. Exams are conducted by the WBSCTE Board and these are quite an easy pass if you have studied your syllabus well. Overall the exam level is moderate. After the semester there will be a Viva round when professors from other colleges will visit our college and take exams.

Stipend Internships are not so common. You might have registered in a Govt portal for the apprenticeship training program. PSUs make vacancies out for DETs for a One Year training program. I've got the opportunities to serve in Powergrid Kolkata, IOCL Haldia, WBPDCL, and WBSETCL, but I didn't join to prepare for Govt. Jobs. I don't know about the projects but we have made projects on Laser Security systems in my 3rd semester.

From the 5th semester, you're eligible to sit on-campus exams and interviews. Our TPO will offer you placement details. There are a lot of companies are there which have visited our college like L&T power, L&T Construction, Jindal Steel, JSW, CESC, Mahindra, SAI group, Sakammbari Group, Bravo Sponj Iron, etc. 90% of students in Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil got placed in Companies. The highest Package offered by the company was mine about 4.8LPA. Otherwise, the average package is 3.5 LPA. About 85% of students got their job on Campus.

Fees Structure:: (approximately), Admission: 1500/-, Per semester, form fill up fees: 250/-, Per year, Registration fees: 1000/-. Registration fees hike there in every 1 year. The total Cost per Year is likely about 1500/- and not more than that. Hostel fees are like 1100/- per month (Stay + food). Mess Facilities is like 2200/- per month (Stay only). You may be eligible for the SVMCM scholarship scheme if you're doing a Diploma directly after the 10th. But if you're doing it after the 12th then you're not eligible for that. If you're a minor student then you can have the minority scholarship.

Generally, '' SOCIAL '' and '' Freshers' welcome '' is conducted during the whole year. And other activities like Inter College Football tournaments, Sports Tournaments, Celebrating Saraswati Puja, Biswakarma Puja Celebration, etc. One can find all the necessary Theory Books there. You can access two books at a time. You must have to clear your previous books before leaving college. You can find all the PYQs there. All classes are fully furnished and contain enough desks to have sited. We don't have any groups or clubs out there. But recently some political unions started to enter our college.
