Remarks

We can get the iiser from 3 ways - jee advanced, kvpy, IAT exam. I have the IAT exam in 2020, before it we have to fill out the application form (In March), and for it, we have to pay 2000/- rs for UR categories. For the dates and other information, we can go iiser admission site. There will be reservation benefits also in ranking. One thing is that iiser doesn't disclose the rank and marks, the release only list selected applicants for counseling rounds.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

So IISER BHOPAL provides integrated BS-MS courses in basic science in all streams. I am interested in main chemistry, the biological field and I want to do research in that field, I prefer IISER BHOPAL Because its ranking is also good in the field of chemistry and biology. Here students: faculty also depends on the stream, it changes with the different disciplines but overall it is good. All the faculty members are very good research backgrounds in their field and they are best their field they are well-qualified from different institutions of the world. And about exams, it is not that difficult if you study daily by daily then it will be very easy to pass the exam and gain the good cpi.

Fees and Financial Aid

For fees, because it is MHRD funded autonomous institute so its fees change with the time of year depending on the government, but from 2019 it increases a little bit for all categories. For scholarships, there are many options like we have to inspire fellowship students, state fellowship students, etc.

Campus Life

5

IISER Bhopal is just wonderful. First of all, the campus is so big and beautiful, clean and green. The hostel is kept so clean. The mess is big and nice. The annual fest name of iiser Bhopal is enthuzia, it has its own vibe and craze of enjoyment. The library is so big. It's not so old and that's why no. Of books is less. The library has a computer center where all computers have Linux as OS. It is a source of e-books the sports complex offers you to boost up in the sports you want. Coaches are also available. Life as IISER is so cool, you are always surrounded by peers, and great minds, discussing new topics, getting a chance to know something different, and improving yourself. We have a lot of activities at IISERB that keep us engaged. Sometimes, we have so many activities that we want to be a part of but we don't have enough time. We have different clubs( physics, astronomy, biology, etc, on a fixed day every week. Each club is amazing and you would like to attend each of them but you can't.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is very research driven, and it is very flexible too. Course is as per the New Education Policy and is relevant to modern industrial needs. However the Curriculum is all around Pure Sciences, like the B.Sc but just the college is much better than a normal BSc college. First two year is given to students to get along with subjects that they want to study in future, in the third year they choose their Majors. Quizzes are frequent and occurs biweekly, while Exams occurs every month and so.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum trains students in various research fields, including lab and theory. The course prepares a student to get either a industry position, or PhD position. The course curriculum can be improved by porividing more exposure to students who havent experienced, these fields. Exams are good, easy if youve understood the course content. These exams are based on a wide information of the topic, and are not limited to just one textbook.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since I am just in my first year right now, the courses I have are fairly introductory. But since we have to study PCMB, Earth Science, Programming and a Humanities course just in the first year, it's fairly hard to manage. we have 2 quizzes, a mid sem exam and an end sem exam in each semester typically at the end of each consecutive month (4 month semester). The marking scheme, syllabus, paper pattern, time, difficulty etc are all subject to change according to the professor.

Placement Experience:

As it's a research institution, more emphasis is given to academia and research instead of placements. We have an active placement cell, but still, it's lackluster compared to engineering colleges. The average package hovers around 10 lpa, and only a handful of people get placements. Most opt for Phd or an MBA.

We have a relatively better course structure, but what i think is IISER Pune has the most advanced sort of curriculum which gives them a better advantages and helps in their NIRF Ranking also. All the courses should be type of open elective.

Placement Experience:

Mostly from 8th semester onwards students become eligible for sitting in placements and getting preplacement offers in their applied companies. Companies like nomura Bank ,Barclays and Dr Reddy's lab have visited the campus in the past. Mostly all the students get placed because less number of student sitting for the placements. According to last year data around 31 lakhs per annum was the highest package and the average was around 10 lakhs per annum. My plan is to get into a foreign university for my higher studies.

Since IISER Bhopal is a research based institute, the placements here are not judged as in aspect of job placements after bachelor's degree, rather people here generally go for higher studies. But regardless the knowledge and experience gained here by people help them apply for any organisation off campus
