IAT - iiser aptitude test is given for iisers and clearing it will help you get admission to iiser. You can also apply through kvpy and jee-adv rank. The application process was easy. Only 5% of people get selected here in iiser.

Course Curriculum Overview

It's hard to survive in iiser. I choose it because I wanted to do the chemistry and iiserb has the best chemistry faculties. But prepare yourself for survival in iiser exams and grades are also hard to get.

Internships Opportunities

You'll get a lot of exposure and internship facilities here. Try to use them and also from here it is easy to get Ph.D. outside India. Also, internships like mitacs, ist Australia, can be easily applied from here. As these are for some exclusive colleges in India.

Placement Experience

Well, most people opt for Ph.D. here. So if you're looking for placement this is not really a place. Although you can take eng. Sc. In iiser Bhopal exclusively. Which will def. Provide you with placements and jobs.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fees will never be increased but other fees for the hostel mess and other facilities are subject to change. You get kvpy and DST-inspire fellowship here in iisers. For inspiration, you have to be in the top 1% of your respective board.

Campus Life

Campus life is great. We have 3 annual fests and there are continuous programs every day, to be honest. You'll never get bored of this area. This is the best college life you can dream of. So live it. All the sports facilities are also great.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel is a bit small. One room is for two people. Though there is some work going on in new hostels I'm not sure when they're gonna complete it. The campus is a bit far so. You have to live inside the campus.

A brief review of IISER Bhopal

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is very research driven, and it is very flexible too. Course is as per the New Education Policy and is relevant to modern industrial needs. However the Curriculum is all around Pure Sciences, like the B.Sc but just the college is much better than a normal BSc college. First two year is given to students to get along with subjects that they want to study in future, in the third year they choose their Majors. Quizzes are frequent and occurs biweekly, while Exams occurs every month and so.

IISER BHOPAL : A HOME FOR MANY

The curriculum trains students in various research fields, including lab and theory. The course prepares a student to get either a industry position, or PhD position. The course curriculum can be improved by porividing more exposure to students who havent experienced, these fields. Exams are good, easy if youve understood the course content. These exams are based on a wide information of the topic, and are not limited to just one textbook.

My thoughts on IISERB

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since I am just in my first year right now, the courses I have are fairly introductory. But since we have to study PCMB, Earth Science, Programming and a Humanities course just in the first year, it's fairly hard to manage. we have 2 quizzes, a mid sem exam and an end sem exam in each semester typically at the end of each consecutive month (4 month semester). The marking scheme, syllabus, paper pattern, time, difficulty etc are all subject to change according to the professor.

Placement Experience:

As it's a research institution, more emphasis is given to academia and research instead of placements. We have an active placement cell, but still, it's lackluster compared to engineering colleges. The average package hovers around 10 lpa, and only a handful of people get placements. Most opt for Phd or an MBA.

Knowing IISERB engineering sciences

Placement Experience:

Mostly from 8th semester onwards students become eligible for sitting in placements and getting preplacement offers in their applied companies. Companies like nomura Bank ,Barclays and Dr Reddy's lab have visited the campus in the past. Mostly all the students get placed because less number of student sitting for the placements. According to last year data around 31 lakhs per annum was the highest package and the average was around 10 lakhs per annum. My plan is to get into a foreign university for my higher studies.
