PICT Review

The admission is through MHCET ( majority) & JEE scores also. The cut-off for entc is also too high. You can refer to the website for cut off. The rough idea is about 97.7 %ile for the home state & 98.9%ile for other states in MHCET & around ( 95 -96)%ile in JEE. KM quota is also available in PICT. Admission through JKSSS/PMSSS Scholarship for J&k meritous students has 10 seats (4 Cse,2 IT, 4 ENTC). The admission staff is helping supportive.

ENTC department is strict in terms of exams and all, by the way, attendance matters in every branch of PICT. Around 75% compulsory attendance is needed for final exams & 95% attendance is compulsory for getting 5 out of 5 in term work marks. TW has comprised 25 marks out of which 5 marks are for attendance for which you have to maintain 95% for 5/5. The faculties of Entc department are good, have great knowledge and good teaching methods and are ready to help you if you reach them with your problems. They always encourage you to solve and explore queries related to academics. You have to prepare well for term exams so that you score well. Term/ Unit Exam schedule is proved a week before by the college whereas Inseam/Endsem are scheduled by University.

College provides on-campus internship opportunities. The companies like DB, BARCLAYS, and other top-notch companies visited for on-campus internship opportunities. Internships are an important part of the engineering curriculum and the college is supportive of providing opportunities to all good students.

The placement of our college is top-notch. Around 115+ companies visited the campus. The placement record of entc is also too good. There are many students who prefer PICT ENTC over many college CSE. The average package is around 11.42 LPA for the companies that provide above 5 lakh. The overall average package is around 11.08 LPA. This is the overall average package of all branches.

The general fee structure is around 1 lakh + per annum for the general category. The hostel fee is also around 1.15 lakh per annum. Scholarships are available in Pict for financial support to the students. Eg. MAHA DBT, PMSSS/JKSSS etc.

The campus is small compared to the other campuses. It's around 5 acres. But the best part is placements. You got a lot of opportunities for on-campus Internships & placements. The placement cell is too active for internships & placements. The college has library facilities with a lot of books and a reading hall not too big but efficient. The classrooms are nice and have projectors in every class. Labs are also good and well-maintained. The college has so many clubs. Eg. IEEE, ROBOTICS, PICT ACM CHAPTER, ARTS CLUB, etc.
