A good underrated college with an amazing alumni network and amazing opportunities

I got admission through the OBC seats reserved for the state around 58 seats are reserved for the state and you get admission through jee Main CRL. It also takes admission through JOSSA and CSAB. The admission process is smooth you get everything by email or on the offer letter and we proceed accordingly.

Some of the faculty is really great like we are taught by professor I Manna who also taught Sundar Pichai among other experienced and outstanding professors. Faculty to student ratio is around 50:1. The exams are always taken on time and it has fair difficulty and it checks you on how much have you grasped through the course

I am a second-year undergrad and I will be offered internships at the end of the second year. But I know my seniors were offered decent internships some got 2lpm from Atlassian and wells Fargo offered around 1lpm. So internship opportunities are decent except for core students who get paid less.

I am a second-year BTech student but as far as I know at the end of third-year students get to sit for on-campus placements and they get PPO and most of them are placed. Some big companies like Microsoft, google, amazon, and Adobe visit campus every year for tech placements. Core companies like PWC, Tata etc also visit the campus every year. A lot of consulting companies also visit campus. The highest package this year was 85lpa and the avg is somewhere around 10-12lpa. Around 80-85 per cent of students get placed every year

The fee structure is fair for a private institute. They also offer GP BIRLA scholarships for students who score they give up to 100 per cent scholarship. and to some 50 per cent scholarship. Almost everyone gets decent job offers.

The annual fest of BIT is called BITOTSAV which is around Feb and the tech fest PANTHEON which takes place around September. The college has great campus life with almost 13 hostels full wifi and in a hostel mess. The library is huge with ample books for everyone. Classrooms are also great and well equipped with projectors and all. The college has a huge amount of clubs you can be a part of and learn from a different groups of people.

You get a small room with a metal bed a fan a chair a table and a tube light to study. a shelf to keep clothes and a window which opens up to a great green view of the college. The mess food is okay not too great no too bad I would say. The fees are taken along with the tuition fee.
