Remarks

You have to apply through the online portal of Calcutta university and you will be selected on the basis of counseling and marks obtained by you then you have to attend physical counseling if you want to transfer or upgrade to other colleges and if not then you can pay the fee and secure your seat.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course is a little bit huge due to the vast syllabus of the MSc curriculum, but the faculty is great they are really helpful and very gentle and works with the student our teacher provided us with notes and materials, and classes were taken accordingly so overall it has a great faculty member.

Fees and Financial Aid

the fee is 16000 a year and the scholarship you can get is SVMCM provided by the WB government you can also apply for all the other scholarships you want teacher will help you get those I personally opted for SVMCM and the process was smooth and I got the amount.

Campus Life

4

The campus is a little bit small and it has a little place for a cafeteria and a nearby ground it has NCC and NSS and also college sports teams like football and volleyball and you can enjoy that and there is a nearby great cafe and restaurants near the college.

Other Applied Colleges

Rajabazar Science College | Master of Science [M.Sc] (Electronic Science)

Due to the percentage of cut off marks I wouldn't get a chance in this college cut off marks was 75 % and i secured 72%

Course Curriculum Overview:

If the student is quite serious to go for a PHD after completing his MSc from here, I would say it is a great choice but if one is looking for the option to explore some other field after completing his MSc from here, I wouldn't recommend of getting a degree from here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus structure of KU is totally based on the IIT JAM exam syllabus. That helps students very much in future preparation for Ph.D. Also KU offers special classes for competitive exam preparations including SPSC or UPSC as well as helps to get placements in the private sector. And professors are very highly qualified they can teach this syllabus in depth and with care

Course Curriculum Overview:

The program curriculum encompasses Biological Sciences as well as it could have been. It is very elaborate comprising every branches from Instrumemtation and Methodologies to Cell Biology, Genetics or Molecular Biology for that matter. You are ought to have three theory papers and two practical and Grand VIVA papers each semester with a total of 4 semesters over two years. In the last semester, you need to prepare your dissertation. The papers include all the basic concepts and their applications and demands hard hours. I believe the syllabus can be relaxed a bit and the number of papers per term expanded and compartmentalised so as to reduce the load of individual papers. All the faculties are very supportive and Friendly and appreciate doubts and queries always.
