Remarks

Cet is one the best engineering college in Odisha. It was affiliated with the Biju Pattnaik University of Technology. Now it is a deemed University and the name has been changed to Odisha University of Technology and Research (OUTR). The admission process was smooth. it was difficult to get admission to one of the best colleges in Odisha. The admission was based on jee the main score. For each branch, you can find a particular cut-off. The cutoff is different for different reservation categories. The college atmosphere is suitable for all kinds of students. It helps to become productive in some or another way. The core branch had a different placement in core companies and also got the opportunity to attend campus placements of IT companies. This college and faculty members helped me to currently work in my dream company. The only change which I want to bring to my college is to try providing 100% placement and also some pre-placement classes which will help students to prepare well for examinations as well as interviews.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Based on my jee main score cut-off, 3 branches were available for me. I chose textile engineering as my career as I found this interesting and wanted to learn new skills. My mother and grandmother used to knit clothes for us and seeing them I was very excited to learn this. During my school days, I didn't get a chance to learn so I decided to take textiles as there were subjects like weaving and knitting. The professor and faculty members were well-skilled and were always ready to help us with our needs. Due to covid pandemic, it was hard to get a job in a textile company so I decided to learn a few IT skills and later joined an IT company to start my career.

Internships Opportunities

5

Colleges also provide different internship opportunities in different companies and some do pay stipends. Different core companies take college students for vocational training as well as an internship. There are different types of internships like summer internships and winter internships. Placement sessions help students in the internship process.

Placement Experience

5

Almost 85% of students are getting placed in different companies and more than 100 companies visit campus for drives. The highest package is 33lakhs and the average is 8 lakhs INR. This college helped me to crack my dream job.

Fees and Financial Aid

I got many opportunities to sit in campus placement. Due to the pandemic, the campus placement was not much smooth as many companies had canceled their drive. Still, after a lot f struggle, I got placed in one of the best MNCs in the world.

Campus Life

5

Life changes once you enter the CET campus. The greenery, birds, different animals everything around us can help us to feel comfortable. The campus is neat and clean, you can find many things in the college canteen. There is also a smart classroom that has large screens to view different video sessions. There are also 4 hostels which help us to stay. There is a playground and indoor play area for co-curricular activities. There are different events organized by the college which help to showcase our skills.

Hostel Facilities

5

There are many pg nearby college where you can stay but mostly you can get a room in the hostel which is situated inside campus. The hostel was hygienic, safe and followed rules which will help in our safely The hostel option can be found on the official Website and all you need to do is to provide the necessary documents. The hostel warden was quite cooperative.

Stduents get eligible from 5th semester for placements peaking at 6th semester of the college. Companies like Infosys, TCS, Tiger Analytics etc came but big pacakge placements offers are low . The highest package was 32 LPA and the average goes to 5-6LPA. The percentage goes to 90 % for placements. After getting degree you can go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

Placements at KIIT University for B.Tech CSE are decent and well structured, especially for students who prepare consistently. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester, although pre placement talks training sessions and internships start from the 5th or 6th semester. The university has a centralized placement cell that coordinates training aptitude tests mock interviews and company drives. Many reputed companies visit the campus every year including TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini Deloitte EY Mindtree LTI Bosch HP Amazon and a few product based startups. Mass recruiters make a large number of offers while product and service based companies offer selective roles. The average package for CSE students usually ranges between 4 to 5 LPA, while the highest package can go above 20 to 25 LPA in exceptional cases depending on the company and role such as software developer or data engineer. Around 75 to 85 percent of CSE students get placed through campus placements. Students who remain unplaced usually pursue higher studies startups off campus jobs or competitive exam preparation. Placement success largely depends on individual effort coding skills internships and communication ability. After completing my degree I plan to work in the software industry to gain practical experience and improve my technical skills. Alongside my job I also plan to upskill in advanced technologies and later consider higher studies or specialized roles depending on career growth.

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Placements at IIIT Bhubaneswar are generally good and improving, especially for students who stay consistent with coding, projects, and internships. In my college, students usually become eligible for campus placements from around the 7th semester (4th year), while many students start getting internship opportunities and pre-placement offers from the 5th–6th semester itself depending on skills. Every year, companies from the software and IT domain visit the campus for roles like Software Developer / SDE, QA, Analyst, Web Developer, and sometimes Data-related roles, and students also get offers through off-campus applications. Some of the common recruiters include companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture, along with product/startup opportunities depending on the year, and multiple students receive more than one offer as well. The highest package and average package vary every year and depend a lot on branch, performance, and market conditions, but overall the college provides decent placement support and training sessions like aptitude, DSA guidance, and interview preparation. The placement percentage is also fairly good for students who actively participate in the placement process, while the rest generally go for higher studies or off-campus roles. After completing my degree, my plan is to either secure a good software developer role through campus/off-campus and build experience, or if I feel more interested academically, I may prepare for higher studies or competitive exams along with improving my skills.

Campus placement i thik it's in your 4 year of engineering only i.e in your 6 semester. There is a lot of companies visited like jsw ,hindulgo and a lot to go . Jsw provides avg package of INR 12 LPA And it selected only 2 students only. I think girls get placement easily as compared to boys ... companies usually select more female candidates....I think I will go for job rather than doing masters degree.
