Course Curriculum Overview

3

I choose tourism & hospitality management because I love travelling to identical destinations. Also, tourism will add 10% to the GDP of India by 2030. The faculty members of IIM Sirmaur have Phd. from the National University of Singapore, Central University & various IIMs. There is 6 trimester. Each trimester is of approximately 3 months and includes Mid-Term & End-Term exams. Grades for each subject are calculated by taking class participation, group assignments, quizzes, and mid-term & end-term scores. You could easily pass the exam if you have attended the classes well.

The admission process starts with the Cat exam. You can find the form on the iimcat.ac.in on August of each year. The fee for the form is rs 2200 for general and obc candidates. There should be 50% in 10th, 12th and graduation for appearing in the CAT exam. I got admission through the NC-OBC quota. You can get in touch with the admission through Facebook, pagalguy group of IIM Sirmaur.

Interview Experience

4

I prepared personal interviews through T.I.M.E Institute materials & various YouTube channels. The admission process starts with the Cat exam. After that, you have to appear for WAT & Personal Interview. My interview was taken by two professors of IIM Sirmaur. One was Prof. Amrinder Singh & the other one was Prof. Ram Kumar Dhurkari. The interview lasted for 25 minutes. They basically ask about the scenario of tourism in the budget of April 2022, the main tourism sites in my place, why West Bengal is called West Bengal etc.

I would rate the curriculum, the best,in terms of relevance. There is many aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course. It provided me lots of experince and self confidence to achieve my goal. There should be less activity then studying.Free time can be used for the activities. Timing of the exams is good for the all the students even if they are from long distances . They can reach at the proper timing.

Remarks:

Data analyst is one of the modern career options, which is why I determined to pursue this course after graduation. My high school seniors told me about this university since it was one of the best universities in India. Candidates were required to obtain a minimum of 50% marks in their graduation to be eligible to apply. The students were selected on the basis of their ranking on the merit list. The merit list was based on their scores on the entrance examination (CAT, GMAT, MAT, SAT, or State entrance exams), the group discussion, and the personal interview.
