Remarks

I take admission through JEE Score. MHTCET Score is also applicable for admission. The admission procedure is done through the CAP round which is conducted by CET CELL. Admission can also be done by Spot Round for which you have to apply differently as it is only conducted at the college level.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum of VIT is new and good compared to University Curriculum. There are 2 modules each year. The faculty of VIT is also good and experienced. When I am in 1st year two term exams were conducted Midesem and Endsem. But in 2nd year only Endsem is going to be conducted. Each subject has CVV, Course Project, GD, Assignments, Written Examination, and Lab examination.

Internships Opportunities

Internships are offered by top companies in college. College also promotes students for doing internships. A stipend for the internship is increasing per year of our college. College also mainly focuses on doing projects and publishing papers.

Placement Experience

The placement of VIT is good. The number of companies visited per year is increasing year by year. Also, Packages are increasing per year. In Computer Engineering Department near about 98 percentage students were placed in the year 2021. Information about placement is also given on the college website.

Fees and Financial Aid

If Admission is taken through the CAP round which is conducted by CET CELL then one can get a scholarship according to their Category. But if admission is taken through Spot Round then one has to pay full fees. Also, various scholarships are offered by the college.

Campus Life

VIT has a small campus. There are many Technical and also Non Technical clubs in VIT. Also, various Programs are conducted in College. Each year there are big events in college like Viswotsav, Vishwakarandak, and many more. There is a big library in VIT.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The part of the curriculum that inspired me to take up this course is definitely applied mathematics as engineering has a lot of math integrated in it and helps the student to improve his/her logic and problem solving skills which are very important in today's job market. Some areas where I'd like the syllabus to improve are NEP related subjects like PPS, Indian Knowledge System etc. These courses are not related to the major but are included because of the New Education Policy(NEP). I feel that most of these courses are a complete waste of time and can be replaced by better courses.

Reality of VIT, Pune

I had applied for COEP technological University, PCCOE Pimpri, and VJTI. I got confirmed addmissions in PCCOE for mechanical course , COEP for metallurgy and VJTI for textile industry. At the last, I took addmission in VIT mechanical. VIT, Pune has good nirf rankings and rather than opting for branches like metallurgy and textile industry I choose mechanical. And between pccoe and vit I choose Vit. Vit accepts admission through cet and jee mains. Also dor dsy students it accpets through cet exam. Cutoff changes every year has been increasing as number of participants has increased. Overall, after the allotment of the college it took 3 hours to take addmission.
