Remarks

Admission takes place on the basis of jee main exam and rank through JAC Chandigarh counselling. Cutoff for jee main ranges between 40k-90k AIR. One can apply through the JAC Chandigarh website and find the rest of the procedure for the application process.

Course Curriculum Overview

1:25 is the ratio of faculty: to students. I choose chemical Engineering due to my own interest and one of the finest placements of this college in the north India region in the chemical engineering field. Faculty here are highly educated and well recognised. 2 of our faculties are in the top 2% list of scientists in the world. Exams here are of moderate level and one can easily score well by just studying one week before the exam.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 22000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee Structure is one of the lowest in India in terms of engineering. it will cost you around 80k if you are just considering tuition fees for 4 years of course. A fee hike is not going to take place in the upcoming 4-5 years. financial assistance provided to eligible candidates. internship and placement opportunities are pretty much good here. placement varies between 6 LPA to 13 LPA and stipends you may get for the internship are between 30k-40k.

Campus Life

Life at the campus is Jannat as it is located inside Panjab University so you can trust that college life will be all fun. annual fest organized by our college is named CYANIDE which is conducted around April. The library has all the required books and journals required for any competitive exam and research purposes as well. All classrooms are not fully AC yet. sports and extracurricular activities are widely available here at very low fees of charge ( 75/- pm). There are many clubs and societies run by students here like Enactus, IIChe, The monologuing marauders, kafkaesque, business technology etc.

- from sixth semester, some seniors have received the PPOs - companies like apple,bmw,mahindra,paytm, hire -%placement is not that good, its 55-60% for mechanical and 85-90% for CSE -highest is 60-65lpa as latest and average is 12-13lpa -plans are getting a placement , if not, i will do mtech from abroad

Placement are provided by the college and Good offers are made by the companies. Like in cse , ece and ee have good placements but in lower branch percentage placements is a bit lower, but overall average and median package is good ( 70%) Highest placement was 61 lpa of 2025 median was 13 lpa.

Punjab Engineering College through an Unfiltered lens .

Placement Experience:

placement stats of my college is great. Better than most of the colleges out there . Even better than many NITs and IIITs , with an avg package of 14-16 LPA . And every year the Median and Avg package is increasing . Highest package till now - 83 LPA . Students are allowed for campus placements after 5th semister All the big companies out there , from Google , microsoft , amazon to Delloete , JP Morgan , AmericanExpress , to seimens, oracle , L&T , all companies come here . around 70-75% students gets placed from here My plan is to get the highest paying job offer possible for me , that's it .

PEC is great choice

Placement Experience:

placements from rti report placement percentage is over 75 + and in ee its 74 percent cse 93 and ece 84 percent avg for cse is 18 lakhs and ece is 16 lakhs ee its 14 lakh and other branches have 8 10 lakh avg but the placemnt percentage in mechncial is 70 percent other branches like civil production have a little less percentage of placements but they have opportunities in college

PEC life in a nutshell

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am in first year and first year is same for all branches, so I don't know a lot about electrical engineering specifically. But of what I have heard from seniors, electrical branch is more difficult, and in pec u get not that many core companies. While u get a lot of finance, IT, coding etc companies.

Yes,very good college placements are available in our college.Students of 8 semester that is 4th year students are eligible for campus placement Companies such as TCS,wipro,amex,gemini solutions and etc many more companies are there for placement 60-80% students got placed in the companies with an average package of 8 lakhs and with a highest package of 35 lakhs Iam oriented towards govt jobs and in future if I will be interested in coding sector I will do preparation for off campus and specifically for Rubrik

Placement Experience:

Placement do occur in the college. It's average package is around 7.5, lakh. Since I am the first year right now, I don't have data to support the placement record, but some of my seniors of fourth year are getting placed. One of my IT senior got placed for 14 LPA and other other, my Cse senior got placed for around 12 LPA. so opportunities are there for those who want to do something
