Remarks

MHT-CET or JEE is the exam on basis of which admission is given in college. The Cet cutoff for the OBC for the computer branch in the year 2021 was 91 percentile. There are low cutoffs for other castes (SC, ST, VJNT). The admission process is conducted in the college itself.

Course Curriculum Overview

There are many opportunities in computer engineering. The teachers are good and approachable. The teaching is satisfactory. Most of the teachers are not permanent but are well-qualified in their respective fields. Two exams are conducted in a semester (mid-semister exam and end-sem exam). Students can pass the exam with 2 days of serious study before the exam.

Placement Experience

Companies come in the last year. Around 27% of students got placed in our course. TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, etc., are the top recruiting companies. The average salary package offered ranges from 3 LPA - 4 LPA. The highest salary package offered ranges between 8 LPA to 17 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The average fee for a year are 70000 rs for the general category. 50% off for OBC and for other categories, it's less than that based on their family income. The fees are expensive although it is a government institute. Scholarships are not that much helpful.

Campus Life

Sports and cultural fest are conducted annually. The library is good with all books available. Classrooms are also decent, some also have screen boards. There are different sports club in which students can participate. Inter College competitions of sport are conducted.

Overall review of my college life in VIT Pune

Placement Experience:

The Training Placement Office Logins are given to us in the third year of the college where alot of companies gives opportunities to apply for the said job role or internship. Approximately 5 to 10 companies visits are there every month which increases as you enter your final year of college.

After 1st year student can openly apply for internship, theon campus internship is avaliable after 4th Sem. The highest amount goes to Quant Finance and more than 75% gets placed for in-campus. The highest pakacemet was INR 3cr for the Quant profile.

From the 6th semester the students are eligible for campus placements. Many companies visit this college like Infosys, Calfus , Amazon , UBS, Crowdstrike. In case of no campus placements, one can try research internship offered by college.

My experience at VIT pune

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to apply for placement is after 2 year or at 5th semester. And companies that have visited are Morgan Stanley, TCS, JP Morgan, etc. and many others. Basic package is about 7 lacs per annum which I consider as okay for freshers. And the student which got highest is 26 lac per annum as he was one of the brightest student of the college. I think 50 to 60 percent students get placed more or less maximum are low package students. My plans are different than doing job so not applied at any of the job.

Mostly After 3rd Year Students Apply For Placements Here The Average Package Here Is Good But Percentage Placement On Campus Is Less...Maybe Because A Lot Students Get Off Campus Placements And Many Go For The Further Studies!!!

Students are eligible for placement from the third year itself for ppo and so. There are several companies visiting thakur around the year and there are a lot who get placement off campus too. I have heard a student from comps got into google at 72lpa. you can visit the tnp site for more detail.

placements are pretty decent here, especially for comp/it students. The average package here is around 12 to 14lakh, college provide on campus placements too, our placement cell is pretty hardworking. almost 97 to 99% of students get placed here.
