Admission process in AKGEC is quite easy. There are two ways for taking admission, the first one is taking a direct seat on the basis of class 12th percentage, generally for CS and related branches 95% is required while EC and related branches are given for 80% and above. The other being JEE mains marks. The application form is provided within the college itself if you are applying for direct admission. While a counseling process is done for JEE mains marks. The application fees for every branch differ by around 1000-2000. The main fees are 1,50,000 for any changes in fee structure the college website is available with the documented fee structure for every year and branch. The improvement can be in form of an online portal for direct admissions. People tend to come to college just to get a basic idea of percentages which is wrong.

B. Tech. Is a popular course and provides a wide variety of job and research options. Being one of the majorly studied courses B.Tech. also provides various domains that make it even more appealing. One can choose B. Tech. for availing in public, private, government jobs or he/she can do research in later studies in the domain of their interest. The faculty-to-student ratio is around 1:60 which is quite normal in colleges. The minimum qualification of a faculty member in AKGEC is a Ph.D. A few of the teachers have to complete their research papers so that they can get security in their jobs. The term exams are done quite often the rate being 1 time every 1 and a half months. The quality of the paper is moderate as it includes the questions with every difficulty and every unit in approximately equal proportions.

The AKGEC provides a digital library along with a physical library that is open to students from 9 am to 10 pm on regular days while 9 am to 12 pm on exam days. The sports are considered very important and the players are chosen and given the training to participate in Zonals in various sports. There are various social groups at AKGEC which includes major societies like Taal, Euphony, Footprints, etc. There are a total of 17 registered and various other societies in which students can enroll and get assistance in various domains.
