Remarks
IGNOU is a very good university. If you are doing a job and looking for keeping your education continue, you can join IGNOU. It is offering various professional courses like MCA, MBA, MSW etc.
Entrance Preview
I did not attend the entrance examination as there was a direct admission in the MSW course. There was no interview. However I attended the induction meeting and it was very fruitful.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course was very professional and it helped me in getting a good job. I liked the first year course very much. I also worked with some NGOs during my training and it gave me good experience.
Internships Opportunities
Internship was great. I did the training in 2 good NGOs and my experience was great. There was no stipend however the NGO offered me a job as a field work executive. IGNOU is also offering jobs for the students.
Placement Experience
Job placement at IGNOU is not good however some big companies are taking interest in campus placement from the last few years. I have not received any call.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is affordable. However the fee is very much high for some professional courses. The fee is equivalent to the regular colleges. I liked the fee structure of diploma and certificate courses.
Fees and Financial Aid
IGNOU is offering scholarships to brilliant, poor and needy children. However getting the scholarship is a not an easy task in the IGNOU. There is a long provision.
Campus Life
I joined the distance learning course. So there was no campus life. I attended the classes on weekend days and hence there was no such kind of campus life like the regular colleges.
Hostel Facilities
I did not take the hostel facilities. As I was a distance education student, so IGNOU did not offered the hostel facilities for the distance learner.
Alumni/Alumna
Senior students should help the junior students. There is no alumni section in the IGNOU. There should be a department for the alumni section. I also want a separate website for this work.
Exam Structure
Exam pattern was good. The question paper was according to the syllabus. All questions were simple and easy to understand
Faculty
Faculties were very experienced. I liked the teaching style of Dr. Avatar sir. All other teachers were also good. I also liked all of the course coordinators.
