Remarks

Hey,i got into LSR through merit and i scored 99% and the cut off for my course (history+political science)was 99 for general category.Application forms are released by DU on its website.Admission process was quiet baffled maybe because it was the first time DU was going through online admission process. The highest package last year was 25LPA for economics honours.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

BA program gives you time to think for your future and moreover it's an integrated course where you get the opportunity to study two subjects at a time from country's best faculty.Student teacher is quite apt here as compared to other DU colleges. Most of the faculty members are either reasearchers from JNU doing their PHD or have done PHD working on journals, holding seminars abroad, etc PS. to lure you a little one of my history professors is Nayana Das gupta one of the best professors and also the wife of Indian journalist Mr. Ravish kumar .Term exams are held in tandem with University guidelines and tbh exams were easy but the way answer sheets are checked really made us feel that we are in LSR a very competitive space. Also the teaching method of the faculty depends and is very subjective to an individual's perspective but on an average going to college for lectures was worth it.

Internships Opportunities

4

MC Kinsey is one the companies i have heard of and mostly students from economics honours and bcom Hons , statistics hons have been placed and there are certain companies which only come to LSR and not even to SRCC ,so yeah this is all i know about the campus placements hope it'll help you in some way

Placement Experience

4

From semester 4 students are eligible for placement since I am not from commerce background so i don't have enough knowledge about the placements, etc.I will be applying for JNU PG in history further for research purposes.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure is quite affordable for ba program and there are scholarships for students from economically and socially backward classes, internships are also provided by the college and there are monthly bootcamps held by different departments of the college.

Campus Life

4.5

Ahhhh! The college fest TARANG our batch has been missing out on this but it one of the most wanted and the best DU fest.LSR library is one of the richest in terms of books and is number one in DU.Sports is also taken care of by the college and not to brag about but Manu bhaker is from our college.

Interview Experience

0.5

no,i didnt face any interview or written test since the admission was on cut off basis.I had secured 99% in my class 12th and the cut off for BA PROGRAMME history and polutical science was 99 for general category,i had cleared it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Too vague to understand, feels extra burden of unnecessary irrelevant topics , extra papers like SEC/VAC simply add to the burden while barely providing with any skills and values as their name suggests . Studying them and preparing for exams add extra stress and unnecessary burden on them , diverting their focus from their core papers , which are already too huge and they study materials or readings simply fail to assist . Areas for improvement would be - proper structured study materials , also proper structured practical subjects / papers for students where they can actually learn or gain knowledge/skills which will be advantageous in their future .

I specifically chose Economics and history to study because I had an interest in both. Economics is pretty self explanatory, learning about how the world economy works is interesting. History on the other hand is interesting because you get to know how civilization and society developed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

German course has high demands and in germany there are relevant chances that I can get good paying jobs,I would say that the teachers are really nice, if you study well they will help you alot and are really appreciable, I would say there are none to improve because it's kinda easy to study the subject on your own, the difficulty of exams are what it should be like, it's good it's great, to make you a better person and student, and the time duration they give is enough to solve each and every exams

Our campus is big too and our auditorium is such that many top personalities have come and spoken there. Even leaders like Barrack Obama too had an interaction with SRCC students in an open air event.
