Remarks

Admission process is good and smooth, they have online and offline both options, process is transparent and clear. They give 4-5 merit list for selection basis on percentage achieved. College is also providing fees concession for reservation candidates.

Course Curriculum Overview

The faculty are good and well qualified. Exams are a bit difficult but manageable they provide good support for teaching and course materials required to pass exams with good scores. Exams are usually 4times a year.

Class Size: 56Course Fees: INR 18000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are charged annually with no option for instalment payment, concessions are provided to lower-income groups and minorities in all communities. Fees are hiked every 3 years. No financial assistance is provided but they do consider special cases depending upon situation.

Campus Life

The campus is huge since college is a combination of multiple streams. We have canteens for each college. For sports, there is a big ground. The college encourages a lot of cultural events, clubs are there for drama and language music schools

Placement Experience:

Students usually become eligible for campus placement from 5th semester onwards. Most companies start visiting in the final year. So placement typically begins during 5th or 6th semester. Honestly, i dont have the exact details. But i know placements happens regularly and some of my senior have been placed in good company. I am not fully aware of the exact highest or average package for bcom students in ckt clg . The placement cell usually shares those details during the final year. But from what senior has said, company like TCS, WNS , ICICI and HDFC banks offers roles in finance,sales and operations ". I am not exactly sure of the precise number, but from what I've heard , around 20 to 30% of Bcom students get placed through campus.if you include internships and off-campus opportunities it could be closer to 30 to 40%. After graduation, i plan to pursue higher studies, im considering options like an MBA or MCOM to specialise further.

I would rate the BBI course curriculum at Lala Lajpat Rai College as fairly relevant and moderately comprehensive. The focus on finance, banking, and insurance subjects influenced my decision to choose this course. The curriculum gives a good theoretical base and helps in preparing for further studies like MBA, M.Com, or government exams. However, it lacks practical exposure, internships, and industry interaction, which could make it more job-oriented. Teaching methods can also improve by including case studies, field visits, and guest lectures.Exams are held twice a year (semester-wise) and include internals (25 marks) and externals (75 marks). They are moderately difficult manageable with regular studies.

Placement Experience:

Talking about campus placement, overall rating is Excellent. Some IT companies like TATA Consulatancy Services, Infosys, Wipro, Sutherland, Eclerx. and banking companies includes ICICI AMC, ICICI Bank Pvt. Ltd., TATA AMC, used to visit college campus to conduct assessment round in college itself. Highest package was around 5 lakh per anum and average package was around 3 lakh per anum. I even got placed in TCS with 4.4 Lakh annual salary. Almost 70% of bachmates was placed with more than average package and there were good opportunity for science background also. After getting degree i worked for 1.5 years and now i'm going to persue my career in management roles.
