You have to give JEE exam to enter this campus and also have to pass the exam. And you must have secured at least 60% in 12th with the science stream. You can take admission to this college through JAC Chandigarh counseling.

Course Curriculum Overview

The main reason for selecting this college is its low fee structure and high placement offers (especially for the chemical branch). Around 90 students are present in the chemical branch every year. The teaching method is very good, teachers have high-level knowledge.

Internships Opportunities

The internship is provided to students after the 5th or 6th semester. Companies also provide pre-placement offers to students. It's become mandatory for every student to complete an internship after the 6th sem as it provides grade marks.

Around the 5th -6th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Some of the chemical companies like Reliance, ExxonMobil, Honeywell, Vedanta, and many more, give children with average of 7-8 lakh packages.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of this college is very low compared to other B.Tech colleges. You can complete your Btech course for just 80k fees (First-year fees are 22k and the rest 17k ). You can also apply for part-time job offers like working in AC Joshi library for just 1 hour per day.

The annual fest name of our college is 'CYNIDE'. Children used to roar slogan (Cynide aaya DCET Chaya). All books are available in our library as our department library is one of the best libraries in North India.

my college: pros and cons

Placement Experience:

the placements are offered for CSE ANDD IT related branches at a large extent. the core placements for all other branches are very less or negligible. the students become eligible for campus placements after the completion of fourth year only. companies such as cisco, servicenow, kpmg and zs associates etc have visited and over 300 students git campus selection.the highest package is of 40 lakh and average is of 7 lakh.

My university experience till now and hoping for the best

Placement Experience:

-> I think it's the start of 5th semester a student is eligible for the internship and at the end of 6th sem a student is eligible for the on campus placement. -> Last year I saw banner of companies like ACCENTURE, TCS, WIPRO, DELOITTE, IBM, PHILIPS etc. -> I saw the hoarding of 54 lpa and they're claiming that it's a higest package of this year and maybe it's true but the average package offered on campus is around 5 lpa. -> Let's say if there are 8000 students from B.E in CSE then average number of students getting placed is around 1000. -> I wanted to get a decent job and save some money for the further study. I wanted to pursue PHD.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course due to my immense interest in Computer science engineering. The faculty is pretty descent,if there are 50 students per class, number of faculty staff would be around 2.They were pretty descent qualified and teaching method was pretty appreciable.Exams used to occur almost with gap of 2 months and weren't very difficult.

Dr. SSBUICET is one of the best chemical engineering colleges in North India

To get admission in B.E Chemical at SS BHATNAGAR UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF CHEMICAL ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY you should score at least 65% marks in 12th grade and then you have to appear for JEE Mains exams. Best if you want to pursue chemical engineering. That too with a completion of degree just under 1 lac rupees.
