Remarks

My admission was based on the Kerala Engineering entrance exam ranking which was applied from the portal cee.kerala.gov. Application dates and fees can be identified by going through the above site link. Reservation is provided to SC/ST. OBC categories. The entrance ranking is made with help of adding an entrance mark along with plus two marks. After that only rank will be published. Then we can apply for Engineering colleges across Kerala which includes about 190 engineering colleges among which 13 are government Colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is changed after my admission as I belong to the 2018-2022 batch. In 2019 new syllabus was established. I choose this course of my interest in vehicles. The faculties were very friendly and their easiest way of teaching helps me increase my knowledge.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 78000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

At starting my fees were 78000 per year. But I got a scholarship amount worth 50000per year. So that I only need to pay 28000 per year. Now the fees changed with the introduction of the new syllabus. The scholarship name was tuition fee waiver.

Campus Life

Due to Covid, we couldn't enjoy our college very much but in the end, it was awesome enjoyed every minute of it. We had tech fest art festival sports meet games etc. And also got 1 week IV to Goa and visited 2 industries.

I do not know which companies visit as i have only joined this year but as what i know from the seniors the companies are looking for students with skills over marks. The average package offered is 100000-200000 per year and more than 10 companies visit per year. About 80 percentage of students are getting placed though campus placement. Students are eligible for campus placement after their 6th semester. Companies such as Tata ,TCS , ola , ather, ISRO visited our college for campus placement The average package offerdies 3 or 4 lakh per annum. The highest package at offer the tower college way up to 30 lakhs per annum If you are willing to sit for the placements many of the students could easily get placement about 80% My plans after getting degree is either doing some job and gaining some work experience for planning to go for higher studies

So when we consider curriculum, I was in 2015 KTU curriculum and it was not that much updated with current technology. But after there was 2019 KTU curriculum which is more adapted with current technology are better. So curriculum not only will help us to obtain real life experience, so they will need us to complete extra curricular activities which is need 100 points mandatory for course completion is there , so considering that it is a good thing. You need to do intership, courses etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to really enhance my programming skills due to which I planned to enrol for this course. The curriculum does not manage to prepare you for real world applications as most of the time they include just the most basic of examples. I wish they would take some input from students too in the curriculum creation. The internals are conducted twice in a semester along with an end semester exam. The exams are usually easy to moderately difficult.

I preferred this college because it was closer to my home and my cousin studied there. I got admission through state merit. I got this college on the third allotment, on both the other allotment i got placed but i was looking forward to this college so i rejected them both. To get eligibility to my college i need a minimum of 60 percent on my PCM subjects. KEAM exam which is kerala state entrance exam, you have to pass it inorder to apply for the colleges of your preference. Almost every student i know have written the keam exam and almost everyon is in merit seat. Merit seat has a cut off of 25000 from the management fee which is 100000 and merit fee will be 75000...Read More
