As the college has now turned into autonomous, the syllabus is decided by college and it is up-to-date. However till the last batch(me) the syllabus was of 2019 scheme and was under APJ technical University.

The college is in tie up with many companies. The college ensure the students get the best opportunity and companies for their future development. The companies like tata etc and leading software companies are available for campus placement.

Placement Experience

Yes campus placement is offered by the college. The training program for placement and interviews are started by 5th semester. However soft skill classes and sections are taken and provided for 3rd semester onwards.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly fee-75000 Scholarships are availed according to entrance score and plus 2 marks. Annual income is also considered. 50% or more of the fees is offered as scholarship. Management students also have the opportunity to get scholarship.

Campus Life

Yes the campus is very promising and attractive. The college is a best choice for self development. The opportunities the college and campus provide is very huge and wider. Everyone is ensured to get a good college life.

Admission

The friendly atmosphere and staffs and the opportunity the college provide is very attractive. The syllabus is taught very clearly and the education is value for money. Proper examinations and such activities are done clearly.

Faculty

The faculties are very supportive. They are ready to help us anytime. The course structure is of 4 years with 8 semester. The exam are conducted and valuation from this year onwards is done by college itself as the college attained autonomous status.

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Main companies visiting the campus are IBM , TCS ,TATA ELXSI,L&T, Cognizant,Toshiba,Vanenburg,Kalkitech,Sobha,Mrf ,Juspay,Dynolt and many more. 70 % students get placement Highest package is 16 lpa and average is 5 lpa After degree higher studies can be considered.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

I preferred this college because it was closer to my home and my cousin studied there. I got admission through state merit. I got this college on the third allotment, on both the other allotment i got placed but i was looking forward to this college so i rejected them both. To get eligibility to my college i need a minimum of 60 percent on my PCM subjects. KEAM exam which is kerala state entrance exam, you have to pass it inorder to apply for the colleges of your preference. Almost every student i know have written the keam exam and almost everyon is in merit seat. Merit seat has a cut off of 25000 from the management fee which is 100000 and merit fee will be 75000...Read More
