Course Curriculum Overview

5

Looking into my interest, technology was the leading one which i would spend my time and energy on without any ill feeling. And of course computer science is the top course as of now and everyone is leaning towards the technological side. The curriculum provides us with the base structure and knowlegde which is needed in the real world but we have to nurture it my practicing and understanding the problem and using proper logic. The curriculum provided by the university is big to keep up to within the time period of the exam but it is managable but wont be the best we can learn

Placement Experience

5

From 6th semester students get eligible for campus placements. I do not know which companies visit as i have only joined this year but as what i know from the seniors the companies are looking for students with skills over marks. The average package offered is 100000-200000 per year and more than 10 companies visit per year. About 80 percentage of students are getting placed though campus placement. My plans after getting the degree is to find a job outside of india if i can

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid 75000 as my yearly fee and 10000 as caution deposit. Id card and insurance which is 250, admission fee which is 500, examination fee which is 4800, other facilities which is 3000, training and placement which is 3000, pta which is 5000 and then university fees of arts and sports which is 530, affiliation fee which is 790, administration fee which is 1050. State merit seat tuition fee is 75000 Management seat tuition fee is 100000 NRI seat tuition fee is 125000 Rest amounts are same for all students from different seats

Campus Life

5

The overall campus life is actually fun, there are not many restrictions in matter of programs and events. Club fests and competitions are conducted by the clubs and yearly fest is conducted by any one of the department. The college has sports team on almost every item which includes cricket, football, volleyball, batminton etc. As we say about clubs, ever department has their on club with different specialities. A period for physical education is provided by the campus in which we can do physical training, a gym is also provided by the campus. The library has a vast array of books and journals which are provided to the students. Mostly it is of the core subjects and other genres of book which interests the students. Every student is eligibleto take books home. Every classroom has a projector which helps us to visually learn and to conduct seminars and presentation. There is seperate seminar halls where we can conduct seminars. There are online pages in social media run by faculty and students which shows the daily life inside the campus on how different students showcase their skills and fun moments they get inside the campus.

Admission

I preferred this college because it was closer to my home and my cousin studied there. I got admission through state merit. I got this college on the third allotment, on both the other allotment i got placed but i was looking forward to this college so i rejected them both. To get eligibility to my college i need a minimum of 60 percent on my PCM subjects. KEAM exam which is kerala state entrance exam, you have to pass it inorder to apply for the colleges of your preference. Almost every student i know have written the keam exam and almost everyon is in merit seat. Merit seat has a cut off of 25000 from the management fee which is 100000 and merit fee will be 75000

Faculty

5

Faculty is very student friendly and takes students best interest into their decision. We can reach out to the faculty if we have any issues or any requests without fearing them. There are 2 series exam before sem exam. Each series consists of 2 moules. Before sem exam lab practicals are conducted. Labs are in my opinion easy to score marks on. There are 5 subjects which have written exams. They are all easy if we go into it before hand but will be hard if we dont.

Night Life

4

The campus is situated inside a rural area almost 7 kilometers from the nearest town. The college provides a gym inside the campus and a library which is open on all days but the timing varies on non-working days. The library is open for everyone and can visit it any time of working. Mens hostel is situated inside the campus and girls hostel is outside. As if what i heard from hostelers the life inside the hostel is amazing and it a fun experience to have with our friends thorughout the time of college life. The cafeteria provides a vast amount of food items we can choose to eat from at student friendly rates. The most famous hangout spot is karingali pucha. It is a great place to get some fresh air in the evening enjoying the beauty of the lake with out friends. Inside the campus we have sitting area and a hangout spot which shows the puncha. Overall there is nothing to say about nightlife outside the campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
