Remarks
The college had notified me about the application on their official website. The process of filing the admission form was quite fluent and hastle-free. The application dates and the fees were notified prior to the release of the admission form. There is no such improvement I personally want to see in the admission process of the colleges.
Course Curriculum Overview
Being a commerce guy I had to opt B.Com or BBA for my graduation. After discussions with my teachers and family members, I opted for BBA(Hons). We had a batch of 70 people and 6 teaching faculties. The facilities were highly qualified in their particular domain and they were quite approachable. Mostly the classes were done online for the pandemic but the teachers gave their best by presenting us ppts and other stuff via google meet or zoom calls so that there is no reduction in the quality of education. The semester was held every 6months and it was not very difficult to pass as the faculties and their teachings were good.
Fees and Financial Aid
As it was a government aided college so the fees were less as compared to other private colleges. Every year there a a mere hike in fees which was almost negligible. There were numerous scholarships provided by the government of west Bengal. Although the placement cell of the college did not provide many internships or placement policies. The students mainly searched themselves for placement opportunities and internships.
Campus Life
The campus life was just how college life seems. Every year the college conducted an annual fest "Udaan" which is a three days annual fest and consisted of numerous events. Asutosh College is known for its libary and politics. The college has a huge library with almost evry book needed for graduate and postgraduate studies. The classrooms consisted of normal benches and chairs. Some of the classrooms had ac installed in them. The only social group that existed in the college was the political lobby of the ruling party.
