Remarks

The admission process was not difficult, just provide the necessary documents required after taking the form from the office and pay the challan at the bank and your admission is done. The improvement I want to see during the admission process is that I hope in the future they have separate timings or multiple counters for form submission because all the students are standing in one line that also for one counter, sometimes the line exceeds the main gate of the college and student have to wait for hours to get their admission done.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

I had nothing as such in mind to opt for which course in precise, all I knew was that after passing out from school by taking commerce one should always go for B.com. The professor is intelligent some of the teachers are our favorite till now also, who know how to engage with the students and how to teach them no matter how good or bad their behavior might be. There are semester-wise examination.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is very affordable, in 3 years you would not even have to spend more than 10,000 which in other colleges can go beyond 50-60K. This college doesn't provide scholarships or internships.

Campus Life

3.5

"Avensis" is the annual fest that is held in the college that is also within the campus, it includes dancing, debate on a specific topic, etc. The library is very big, don't know how the latest versions of the books are kept there as I barely issued any such books but giving it a try should not be a concern. There is a union room inside the campus only, they are there for the well-being of the students only, there is a website controlled by the members of the union, it is for the help of the students, and the official website is different from this one, that one is controlled by the College.

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the course the b.com because I want to become the CA but after completing the graduation my family condition was not very good so I quit my studies and searching for the job. My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. I'm pursuing because I'm interested in understanding how businesses work and want a solid foundation in commerce and finance. It opens up various career paths in accounting, finance, management, and more. Plus, it's a versatile degree that can lead to professional certifications like CA, CS, or MBA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is of course outdated. Teaching methods are old. No case studies, competitions or project of any sort is there in the curriculum. Although a project of 100 marks is there in the final sem, but I don't think that's enough. There is no practicality in the curriculum and usability in career. The syllabus really needs an uplifment.
