Overall i spent almost 3 years in the college and for me the college life has been awesome which dav has given to me.
Entrance Preview
I got the admission here on the basis of merit list of the +2 scores. The admission process was from the side of university.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure is on a good hand. There are a couple of subjects which have no benefits of being taught but on the whole its a great course and helps the students in overall development. The course can be boring sometimes but is is actually of use later.
Internships Opportunities
The college does not generally provide internships but sometimes in other courses they do provide internships but the amount of stipends is not upto the mark.
Placement Experience
The placement cell does a good job in fetching various companies from diversed fields.their were multiple job fests organised by the college which really helped a lot of students get placed in good companies. But the main thing is that all the companies that come offer a low package of average 3LPA
College Events
For events celebration, DAVC is a lot famous. A huge number of fests happen in or around the college organised by the college or various societies of the college.there used to be a mega star performance approx every month which starred different performers.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is quite feasible as it is regulated by the university itself. There are various aids as well which we were told about time and again so that any student who is not able to meet the fees can be financially aided.the fees for Bcom is approx 21000 per year.
Fees and Financial Aid
Well to be honest neither i have availed any loan facility or got any scholarship, but college offers various scholarships for various academic excellence.
Campus Life
The college maintains a good gender ratio. In our class we had approx 30 boys and 20 girls. Moreover, the amount of money college spends on workshops is huge. There are a lot of lectures given by big diginitries and these are free to be attended by all.
Hostel Facilities
Although i did not stay in the hostel but as i had various friends there so i visited frequently. There is proper guard at the gate which seeks all the information and jots it down on a register. The rooms are of two types ac and non ac. And the mess food quality is also satisfactory.
Alumni/Alumna
There is a limited contact between the current students and the alumni. The college organises an alumni meet annually.
Exam Structure
There were mid semester tests that were organised by the college during the middle of the semester. These mid semester tests helped to prepare for the final examinations as they used to be quite tough and lengthy and strict marking made it quite difficult to score well in these
Admission
The panjab university created a merit list on the basis of +2 scores and then centralised admission process was conducted by the university and the admissions were alloted on the basis of that. Then i visited my college for the paper formalities to be completed
Faculty
The faculty of the college is really very gokd. Mostly professors are PHD which makes a good teaching environment. On the other hand, the teachers are very helpful and cooperative and help the students do the work by helping each and every student in a personalised way
