Course Curriculum Overview

Studying computer science will help you to develop problem-solving, critical thinking, and complex analytical skills. Skills such as these are especially useful for specialists working with complex algorithms and big data to create instructions and understand design patterns. The ratio of facilities and students is good in this blog as compared to other clgs which are near to centurion University of technology and management. Maximum all teachers have completed their Ph.D. and masters and also have teaching experience of more than 5 to 6 years experience. which helps students to gain knowledge easily. The way teachers are explaining is superb. One sem exam takes nearly 4-5 months to complete the course. It's not at all difficult to pass because the way teachers are explaining in the classroom becomes soo easy to write in the exam.

Internships Opportunities

4

Wipro, Capgemini, HCL Technologies and Goldman Sachs, etc. are the companies that offered internships with stipends. Internship starts from 1st year onwards only. Internship helps students how to make a project in a limited time and students gain much more knowledge on projects of industries and companies which helps them in job work.

Placement Experience

The percentage of students getting placement is 70% above. To develop the website.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is medium as compared to other colleges. Here poor families can also afford to pay the fees. Fess will be different for different courses. Prerana scholarship we get in this college. I am studying and the placements received by seniors are in a good position.

Campus Life

5

Gajajyoti is the annual fest in college which is conducted in March. The availability of books in the library is good. Every book is available which is related to the course and about newspapers, different types of newspapers will be there in the library. Only the Sunday library will be closed. The University takes interest in providing ample opportunities and facilities for sports and games activities. It aims at the holistic development of each student and the sports club activities have an important role in this. It takes pride in providing the students with a cemented basketball court, volleyball court, shuttle badminton court, football court, cricket court, athletic field, and gymnasium facilities. The college also provides indoor facilities for table tennis, carroms, and chess. We feel happy and fulfilled that our students make the best use of the facilities provided.

Siksha 'O' Anusandhan University - [SOA], Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
Reviewed on Jan 9, 2026(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. Relevance & Comprehensiveness (Rating: 7/10) The course curriculum at SOA is updated frequently compared to state government colleges. Why I chose this: I was attracted to the fact that the syllabus includes modern electives like Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, and Data Analytics starting from the 3rd year itself, rather than waiting for the final semester. Real-world Prep: The curriculum is designed largely to crack placement interviews. There is a heavy focus on Aptitude and Core Coding subjects (DS/Algo) which helps in getting a job. However, for deep research or R&D roles, the theoretical depth is sometimes lacking. 2. Areas for Improvement Teaching Methods: A major issue is the reliance on PowerPoint Presentations (PPTs). Many faculty members just read off the slides. I would prefer more "Whiteboard Teaching" for mathematical and logic-based subjects. Lab Records: We spend hours handwriting practical records/files which are just copied from the manual. This is a waste of time. This time should be used for live coding projects or hackathons. Outdated Subjects: First-year students (even in CS/IT) are forced to learn heavy mechanical/civil concepts. While basics are good, the depth of these non-core subjects should be reduced. 3. Exam System & Difficulty Frequency: It is quite hectic. We have 2 semesters a year. Each semester has 2 Internal Assessments (Quizzes/Mid-sems) and 1 End-Semester Exam. Basically, you have an exam every 1.5 to 2 months. Difficulty: The exams are Easy to Moderate. It is not very difficult to pass. If you study the "Class Notes" and "Previous Year Questions" for 3-4 days before the exam, you can easily score an 8.0 SGPA. The checking is lenient for passing, but strict if you are aiming for a 9.5+ SGPA.

I actually have a very little idea about placements of our uni few seniors says there is not a single company visiting, while few were discussing the highest placement which was something like 20lpa or something,i think companies do visit our campus it may not be much but i have definetly seen one or two companies visiting. I plan to do MBA after my Btech so i am not that serious about whether i am getting placed or not.

Gandhi Engineering College (GEC Autonomous), Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
Reviewed on Dec 22, 2025(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I mainly chose this course because the college is Autonomous, which allows them to update the syllabus faster than standard university colleges; seeing subjects like Python and Data Science in the early semesters really influenced my decision. The curriculum is decent for getting placed in service-based companies like TCS or Wipro since they focus heavily on the basics and aptitude, though for high-end product roles or research, you have to put in extra effort yourself. I definitely think they need to reduce the theory load and focus more on practical coding because sometimes it feels like we are just writing assignments instead of building things. Also, the junior faculty rely too much on reading from slides, which really needs to change to make classes more engaging. As for exams, it feels like we are always writing them since we have two internals and one end-semester exam per term. They are moderately difficult and the checking is strict, so you can't slack off, but the tight schedule can get quite exhausting.
