Hub of start-up, internship and enterpreneurship

I wrote k-cet in 2020 and got into NIE with k-cet marks. My rank was 3494 and I belonged to the 3B category. The application form, application fees and dates were as provided by CET. The admission process was really easy and it took just about an hour.

I chose this course to go along with my interest in computer science and engineering. The faculty here are well qualified and really helpful. There will be a course coordinator and a proctor for different groups of students. So the faculty: student ratio is really good. Teaching methods are well implemented with new modern ways of teaching with smart boards. Term exams were challenging but were up to the level.

There is a placement cell in the college which helps a lot with getting placed and also the internships. There is enterpreneurship cell where there is an opportunity for the students for a startup. The stipend for internships is around 10k per month.

Campus placements are really good. It has increased exponentially over the past 4 years. The college has ranked no. 3 in Karnataka with respect to placements. Placement cell helps a lot with campus placements and internships. Many companies including JP MORGAN AND CO., GOOGLE, AMAZON, CISCO, and MICROSOFT visit the college during placements. The average package last year for CSE AND ISE was 10 lakhs per year. 100% of placements by the college were achieved every year.

The fee structure is really simple. It is as prescribed by the Karnataka examinations authority. It was 58500 rs for my course. I'm not into any kind of scholarship. But the assistance is really good in the college.

The annual tech fest here is called the Technik S. It is an annual tech, sports and cultural fest. It is conducted in the month of May or June every year. The library is vast and helpful. Both books and e-books and several journals are available in the library. It is a digital library. Sports are conducted every month and there will be several inter-branch and inter-college championships every month. Major clubs in NIE are Onyx, IEEE, Google Developer Student Club and Geeks for Geeks.

The hostel fee is really considered as it is 85k per year. It is a 3-sharing room for everyone provided with separate cots, tables, chairs, cupboards and racks. The meal is both North Indian and South Indian. The quality of food is very good. Snacks are also provided every day in the hostel. The hostel is just behind the college.
