The counselling process for Dibrugarh University institute of engineering and technology goes offline because of which the students from other states can't reach there on time as it is in the northeast so many students don't have any news of it. It is very famous for its petroleum engineering and also have foreign students in its batch. PSUs like ONGC and OIL recruits here.

It is not a very difficult course if you start studying just before 14-20 days before exams you can easily get pass with good marks. I chose petroleum engineering, particularly because there are great career aspects and it's one of the highest-paid degrees and less competition in the GATE examination as only 2000 students appear. Some faculty here are very good but some are not up to the mark overall faculty is great to help you in research work if you want to do research. The faculty-student ratio is 1:12

ONGC and OIL provide you internships if you are a petroleum engineering student apart from that you can also do any other internships if you wanna do in any other industries. You also do a research internships in various national and international Universities

From the 7th semester, you are eligible for sitting in placements. Here ONGC and OIL had been visited only this year due to covid. But placement is above average in petroleum if you are a good student you will definitely get placed. the highest package is 22lpa made by ongc and selected 10-11 students from the university.

You have to pay 110000 yearly fees. You can avail scholarships like Ishan Uday And various from aicte scholarship. Here you can't get campus jobs. But fees are quite affordable as compared to private colleges. You have to pay only 4.4 lakh for your btech degree only.

One of the biggest northeast tech fest is organised here named AUXESIS and the annual fest which VARSITY WEEK, both are very big fests. Here library is very big and have plenty of books around 3.5lakh books are there there are two libraries here.

Hostel are good and well maintained for girls but boys hostels are not of that quality. Mess food is worst i have ever as i am from north india i haven't eat rice that much but here i have to just eat only rice whole day. Hostel is affordable 2700rs per year Mess 1900rs per month Pg around 5000rs for single room including food 3500 for double room
