Remarks

For the admission, we had to go through an online entrance test conducted by the University. Bachelor's in any subject was eligible. To get admitted you can go to Universities website. however, now universities are conducting common entrance tests so you might need to fill your form in both NTA and the university website to give the entrance. overall good.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Mass Communication and Journalism is a course that allows you to experience the media industry and communication theories. With these, you can be a good communicator and be industry-ready. The faculty is good and help the student to gain practical skills. We have more girls in our course than boys. Assam University is a prestigious University and one of the top Institutes in India. The teachers are also very supportive here. Teaching is done through digital and interactive methods rather than traditional methods. Exams are held on time and are not very difficult to pass but are at the top you need to put in extra hard work because teachers are highly qualified and experienced.

Fees and Financial Aid

fees here are very low due to the fact that it is a central university. To complete this two years course you will have to invest not more than 3 lakhs rupees but if you stay in the hostel then it can be cut to 1 to 1.5 lakhs. I don't know about their financial assistance or scholarships.

Campus Life

4.5

To my knowledge, there is no annual fest of the university but departments host numerous fests. The Law department has the Aghaz fest, the Department of Business Administration hosts the yearly Abhyudaya fest, the Rangrave fest in Holy, etc. The library has a good collection of books and journals are also available. Classrooms are good and almost every department has its own conference hall. All classrooms have a digital board, wifi facility, and library. There is a stadium in the college and many students engage themselves in sports. Sports competitions are also held sometimes. Tree plantation, rallies, and competitions like debates are also held. There are many community based platforms in the campus.

Other Applied Colleges

Tezpur University | Mass Communication

In other institutes, the infrastructure is better.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen this course because I like this subject and nothing more. The Faculty And Students Ratio Would Be Like 1:40 Which Is Pretty Good And Impressing. The Faculties Are Well Qualified and Kind-Hearted and Friendly. Exams Occurred At Right Time And Very Strictly Managed. Exams Are Quite Easy To Pass.
