Entrance Preview
I took KCET(Karnataka Common Entrance Test), I scored well around 140/180 and many people suggested me this college because of 1)Accessibility 2)Education 3)Placements.
Course Curriculum Overview
The Course Curriculum is just fine, They update it every year based on reviews of students and the current IT scenario, for instance Python language wasn't taught in Indian colleges but it is very important skill to know, so our college made it mandatory. (MIT has also made it Mandatory).
Internships Opportunities
Many companies offered Internship, for instance Apple, IBM, Microsoft have built their labs in or College to help students learn new stuff. I am not sure about it but many of my elder friends were interns at Cisco and there stipend was around 35,000/-Btw, Placement cell helps us get internship.
Placement Experience
Best and Awesome. For IT guys, they literally don't need to worry if they've good skills and Non-IT guys have to perform exceptionally well to get Core jobs with good salaries.
College Events
There are many events celebrated in my college. 1)Karnataka Rajyotsava(Karnataka day celeb.) 2)UDHBAV(Cultural College fest) This is awesome, last year Red Bull Bus came and we had lots of fun. 3)Shout Out(theatrical fest, Fun to watch,particpate) 4)INCOGNITO(IT FEST) This was fun too, there were many cash prizes awarded for events like Game development, Coding, FPS Gameplays, etc. 4)Many tiny tiny departmental fests. Every department has their own fests too.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Its not expensive for guys who got admission through KCET,COMED-K. But the management seats are quite expensive, It varies from branch to branch though. CS- 18 lakhs donation fee. Mech-16 lakhs donation fee(approx.)
Hostel Facilities
There are many hostels around the campus, some are not comfortable. So if you can afford others I will suggest go for the latter.Mess food is just fine its a combo of North and South Indian cuisine. Average hostel fee- 70,000/- to 90,000/-Average PG renta
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is awesome, Some Alumni have even sponsor students in their projects and education. Kanan Gill, a standup comedian was from MSRIT. He was a good student my teachers told me. Alumni network is very helpful indeed.
Exam Structure
No exams and labs aren't frequent. We have 3 Internal tests, out of which only 2 are mandatoryand an External Exam.Thats pretty much it.
Faculty
Faculty is experienced and well-qualified. Most of them are quite helpful.
